Haunt, also known as Ghost, is a recurring Race of Demons in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

The Haunt race consist of ghosts or undead demons. They are often associated with darkness and tend to be weak to Light skills. The race is occasionally interchanged with the Foul and Spirit races, in that some games classify Haunt demons as Fouls or Spirits and vice-versa; in Shin Megami Tensei: Nine, Haunt demons are classified as Spirits.

In the Shin Megami Tensei series, Haunts are of the Dark-Chaos Alignment and thus cannot be recruited through Negotiation.

Then there's the Kishin species, which consists of Furies, Ladies, Viles, and the Kunitsu. The demonic species consists of Tyrants, Yoma, Nights, and the Fey. The Flying species consists of Heralds, Divine, and Fallen. The Dragon species has Dragons, Snakes, and Drakes. The Avian species has Avians, Flights, and Raptors. The Beast consists of Avatars, Holies, Beasts and Wilders. The Oni consist of femmes, Brutes, Jirae, and Jaki. The Evil Spirit species has Haunts, Spirits, and Undead. And lastly, the Foul family only has Fouls. Primes and Wood demons are alone in their respective species. That about sums it up for demon types." Shin Megami Tensei if... (Super Famicom). 2. "Doctor Demonish: You can talk to demons you meet and have them join you. We call demons that join up with you "minions." The demon types that you can make minions are Yoma, Nights, the Fey, Heralds, Fallen, Snakes, Femmes, Brutes, Beasts, Flights and Jirae. The demons that won't become your minions are Tyrants, Viles, Drakes, Raptors, Wilders, Jaki, Woods, Haunts, Spirits, Undead and Fouls. Now, those demons that you can't convince to join you, you can still get to make 'em your minions if you create them through fusion." Shin Megami Tensei if... (Super Famicom). Developed by ATLUS.
