Community:Megami Tensei Wiki
Megami Tensei Wiki is an English encyclopedic wiki dedicated to the Megami Tensei franchise by Atlus. The site was founded in 2023 in a community effort to compete against the Fandom wiki of the same name.
History
The idea of a new Megami Tensei wiki separate from the one hosted by Fandom was first conceived by Vesk, who wished to establish its creation on wiki.gg. She started a petition on March 19, 2023 in order to demonstrate interest in the wiki to wiki.gg's staff, which received over 1,000 signatures.[2] The staff agreed to host the site the following day.[3] That same day, Rman41 reached out to Vesk in order to discuss making the wiki independently hosted, leading to the creation of Megami Tensei Wiki on its own domain instead of wiki.gg on March 21, 2023.[1][4] Throughout that period, a number of community members were invited to join the new wiki as administrators and moderators, including Capes, Larrue, RustyVanBurace, and Spider. Vesk had later left the wiki for personal reasons on June 21, 2023, entrusting the wiki to the rest of its team.
Megami Tensei Wiki launched to the public on October 30, 2023, coinciding with the 31st anniversary of Shin Megami Tensei.
