Kētai Akuma Densho was a mobile social card browser game featuring Demons from the Megami Tensei franchise. It was published by BBMF and initially released through the Atlus Web-i i-mode website on October 15th, 2001.[1][2] The game was later made available via the Atlus Web-EZ EZweb website on June 3rd, 2004.[3]
A standalone application version was released for Atlus Web-i on October 30, 2006,[4] and was subsequently ported to Atlus Web-EX in March 2007 and Atlus Web-EZ in July 2007.[5][6] Access to the game required a monthly subscription fee of ¥300.[7]
Gameplay
Ketai Akuma Denshō was a digital card collection mobile browser game centered on Demon-themed wallpapers. Players could access the game once per day and draw up to three random cards by selecting one of three categories, referred to as the Heaven Chapter, Earth Chapter, or Devil Chapter.[8] Each chapter contained 100 unique demon cards, for a total of over 300 collectible cards.[9][10]
Each card featured a demon illustration and an accompanying descriptive text, and could be used as a mobile phone wallpaper. Cards were automatically stored in the My Album section, where players could view their collection, check which cards were missing, and sort entries by numerical order or demon race.[11] A search function allowed cards to be accessed directly by entering a demon’s name or assigned number.
Players could own up to nine copies of the same card, with additional duplicates no longer being obtained once the limit was reached.[12] Cards were assigned a rarity rating ranging from one to four stars, which affected their relative scarcity.[13]
The application included an online trading system accessed through the Trade Bulletin Board, allowing players to exchange cards with others.[14] Users could post listings specifying both the card they sought and the card they offered, or browse existing listings to initiate trades. Up to three trades could be completed per day.
Successful trades awarded ten Trade Points, which could be accumulated and exchanged for cards of the player’s choosing.[15] The number of points required varied depending on the rarity of the card.[16]

The standalone application version introduced several additional features. Wallpaper images could be displayed in full-screen mode, improving image presentation.[17] A new system allowed players to purchase cards using Macca, an in-game currency.[18] The standalone version also added the mini-games poker and Codebreaker.[19]
