Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne is a 2003 role-playing game for the PlayStation 2, and the fifth entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series. It was developed and published by Atlus and released on February 20, 2003 in Japan. In South Korea, the game was released on September 25, 2003.[1]
A year after its initial release, the game received an enhanced director's cut edition containing additional content, titled Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax. This version would become the basis for the localization and future re-releases of the game, including the Nocturne Maniax Chronicle Edition and HD Remaster versions. The Steam release of HD Remaster is based on the original Nocturne version, making it the only official release of the original game outside of Japan and South Korea.
