Hama is a recurring skill in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Hama is generally a Light-attribute skill that has a low chance of causing instant death, although its exact attributes vary from game to game. Note that in many earlier titles, Hama is called ハンマ Hanma in Japanese; in the first two Devil Summoner games, Hama and Hanma are separate skills.

In Shin Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, and Shin Megami Tensei if..., it targets two enemies.

In Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, Hama deals weak Light damage to one foe. If the user is Smirking, then the target is instantly killed.

In Shin Megami Tensei V, Hama deals weak Light damage to one foe, and may instantly kill if the target is weak to Light.

In Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine and Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2, Hama deals weak Light damage to one enemy, with no additional effects.

In Megami Ibunroku Persona, Hama deals a fixed amount of Light damage each turn to one enemy. If the target is of the Grave Order, they are instantly killed.

In the Digital Devil Saga series, Hama deals damage equal to half of the target's current HP, rounded up.
