Shin Megami Tensei (A-Mode DDS)	Origin: Japan The traveler's guardian deity of earthly gods. He is the shining deity that waits at the boundary called Ameno Yachimata. This is where Ninigi descended from heaven to act as a guide. Also, because his nose is long and his face is red, it's said Tengu are based on him.
Shin Megami Tensei II (A-Mode DDS)	出身地：日本 アマテラスが伊勢に鎮座するにあたり適地を選定したといわれる神。名を猿田彦命（サルタヒコノミコト）と書く。国津神の中でも大きな力を持ち、大神（オオミカミ）と称される。天孫降臨の際に天之八衢（あめのやちまた）と呼ばれる境界で神々を待ち受け、道案内を申し出た。後に、その時出会ったアメノウズメに一目惚れし、結婚する。 Translation:

Sarutahiko appears at a shrine to the west of Old Roppongi, where he guards the left arm of Masakado, attacking Aleph on sight. After being defeated, he appears confused, unsure what he was just doing, and freely gives him the arm.
