Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army

Forge Fusion functions as the primary method to improve Raidou Kuzunoha's equipment in Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army. By fusing a Demon into Raidou's katana, the player can directly change the weapon's Sword Power, the effectiveness of which is based on the specific demon used as a material for the fusion. When equipped, the Demon forged into Raidou's blade can also directly boost his stats and determine his resistances, which is likewise based on the specific demon used as a material for Forge Fusion. Further, Raidou's Strength stat can be raised based on the Demon's Level and Strength based on the following formula: (Demon’s Level / 2) + Demon’s Strength = Raidou's Strength with Sword. However, if Raidou's Strength stat is higher than the value generated by the formula, Raidou's native Strength will supersede it and remain unchanged.

Like other forms of Fusion in Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army, Forge Fusion requires the fused Demon to have maximum Loyalty towards Raidou.

The different versions of Raidou's sword accessible through Forge Fusion (Ex: Shakko) are largely cosmetic with the exception of the Onmyou blade. The Onmyou blade is a permanent buff that grants a flat bonus of +50 Sword Power in addition to the Sword Power and effects granted by the latest Demon fused into Raidou's sword. It is only accessible by performing Forge Fusion with Nagasunehiko, Abihiko, Hitokotonusi, and Mishaguji. These demons can be fused in any order, and will not be disrupted if an unrelated demon is fused into the sword in-between this process. The only exception to this is when performing Forge Fusion on a New Moon. This causes the blade to reset entirely, and revert to it's original Sword Power and effects.
