Naga Raja, also known as Raja Naga, is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

Nagaraja[a] is a Sanskrit term which means "naga king". In Hinduism, examples of naga kings include Shesha, Vasuki, and Takshaka. In Buddhism, examples of naga kings include Mucalinda, Dhataraṭṭha, and Apalala. While not a naga himself, the heavenly king Virupaksha is also described as the leader of the nagas.

Origin: India
The name of the Royal Nagas in Naga society. Nagas are a race of dragons that live in a wide area reaching from Iran to Japan. Snake gods with the title of Raja Naga include Ananta, the 1000-headed snake. There is also Vasuki, who wrapped himself around Mount Mandarachala and changed into a rope.
