Arahabaki is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

Arahabaki is a theonym that can be found in the names of certain locations in Japan, though details of Arahabaki are unknown.

Arahabaki's portrayal in the Megami Tensei franchise comes from the Tsugaru Soto Sangunshi, a document purported to detail the history of the Tohoku region. However, this document was a forgery created by Kihachirō Wada in the 1970s. Wada associated Arahabaki with the shakoki-dogū artifacts.

Design

In Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II, Arahabaki is a recolor of Momunofu. In Shin Megami Tensei and onward, Arahabaki is depicted as a dogū.
