Translation: An indigenous god of the Shinano region thought to have been worshiped before the Yamato regime took power. Game Appearances
Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army
Mishaguji is summoned by Munakata at Waden One to dispose of Raidou Kuzunoha. It claims to come from the sea of Suwa and taunts Raidou before attacking. Upon defeat, it exclaims that its curse will still rain upon the Capital even with its death.
Trivia
- Not counting the Treasure Demons, Mishaguji is the only Persona new to Persona 5 Royal that does not appear in Persona 5 Tactica.
- There is an urban legend that people began adding the honorific '-sama' to its name after accidents occurred when it was omitted. However, this was debunked by Kazuma Kaneko.[1]
Nomenclature
From Japanese: 御社宮司, romanized Mishaguji or Mishakuji. Often uses the honorific suffixes 様 sama ("esteemed") or 神 kami ("deity").
