Shin Megami Tensei

This section contains spoilers. (Skip Section)

Alice in actuality is a dead girl ressurected by Belial and Nebiros, who are the true identities of Count Red and Count Black. After the Great Cataclysm, they found her corpse and were taken by her, so they resurrected her and became her "Uncles", and then resurrected more people to populate Roppongi to give her friends to play with.

After the Hero delivers the Hiranya to Alice, she asks that he die for her, but upon seeing that he will not, breaks down in tears. Count Red sees this and transforms into his true form as Belial to fulfill her wish. As he is invincible, the Hero's party is forced to retreat and return with the Glancing Pot, which seals him away. This breaks the illusion put over Roppongi and makes Alice herself fade away as she keeps crying.

End of spoilers.

Shin Megami Tensei II

Alice has no presence in the main game and is simply a rare encounter alongside the other members of the elusive Fiend race.

Visionaries

Despite her aforementioned insignificance, Alice is featured in one Visionary cutscene in the Game Boy Advance and iOS versions of the game.

In "Crimson Doll", Alice is wandering around Tokyo Millenium in her lonesome. She wallows in sadness, saying that she was told by her Uncle Red and Uncle Black that they would stay with her forever, but now they are gone, leaving her to cry alone with no one to play with. Later, a man notices her wandering around alone and seeing her quality clothing, mistakes her for a lost child of a wealthy family living in the Center. Viewing this as an opportunity to gain money, he approaches her, breaking her out of her crying fit. She asks who the man is, and then asks if he wants to play with her. The man tries to play along, but Alice immediately sees through his deceit, calling him a liar and ordering him to go away. The man drops the facade after realizing it isnt working and threatens her to come with him quietly, but Alice retaliates by slicing his neck, killing him. Alice comments that she hates people who lie to her, and continues to cry, lamenting that no one will play with her.

Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army

Alice is the subject of a rumor at the Shin-Sekai Soda Joint. According to the rumor, she is a dead girl who causes telephone booths in the Capital to ring, only for no one to be on the other end. However, the rumor also states that Demons who knew the girl are able to hear a voice on the other end. After hearing the rumor, if Raidou has Belial in his party, then he can visit a telephone booth in Tsukudo-Cho near Tamoneten Shrine to have him make a phone call with Alice. She will refer to him as Uncle and state that she is currently in Hell, but is considering visiting the Capital. She then hangs up, promising to call again. Following this, Raidou can then visit a booth in Harumi-cho with Nebiros to hear Alice again. Nebiros will also recognize the voice and refer to himself as Uncle Black, and Alice will indicate that she has made it to the Capital and visited the ocean. She tells him her plans to visit the city next and hangs up.

Once both calls have been made, with both Demons in his party, Raidou can visit a booth in Ginza-cho near Shirorenga Way to hear the phone ringing. Belial and Nebiros will motion to answer the call, and Alice will formally introduce herself. Speaking to the pair, they will ask her to join them, and following a brief back-and-forth, Alice will appear beside the party and ask them to die with her, and then attack. After her defeat, Raidou will obtain the Staff of Death, which can be used to fuse Alice at the Gouma-Den. Belial and Nebiros will ask Raidou to fuse her, saying they will live their days in peace with her in the Capital following the conclusion of the case, keeping her safe from humans.
