Origin

Quetzalcoatl is a primary deity in the Aztec pantheon and one of the most well-known incarnations of the feathered serpent archetype common in Mesoamerica, alongside Kukulkan and Gucumatz. He is often conflated with the deification of a legendary ruler by the name of Topiltzin Quetzalcoatl who ruled over the Toltec culture in the early 10th century, though this is believed by some to be a post-Conquest invention.

Design

Quetzalcoatl's design from Shin Megami Tensei II is a white python with blue rings across its body and white bird wings. He received a second design in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner, this time as a human with golden feathers coming from his arms wearing a crown resembling Moctezuma's headdress wearing a pale gown seemingly made from scales and a belt with two double-headed snakes as the belt buckles.
