Ronde is a 1997 tactical role-playing game for the Sega Saturn, and the third entry in the Majin Tensei series. It was developed and published by Atlus and released on October 30, 1997. The game received a playable demo on the Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers & Ronde demo disc.

To date, Ronde has not seen an official release outside of Japan nor a translation patch. A completed English script by AutisticTranslations is available.

輪廻転生(りんねてんせい)それは、輪舞曲(ロンド)のように。
前作(ぜんさく)「魔神転生(まじんてんせい)シリーズ」のシステムに加(くわ)え、悪魔(あくま)との会話(かいわ)、ユニット化(か)、契約(けいやく)システム、勢力(せいりょく)争(あらそ)い、武器封印(ぶきふういん)、そして新合体(しんがったい)が搭載(とうさい)！ 		Rinne tensei sore wa, Rondo no yō ni.
Zensaku "Majin Tensei shirīzu" no shisutemu ni kuwae, akuma to no kaiwa, yunitto-ka, keiyaku shisutemu, seiryoku arasoi, bukifūin, soshite shin gattai ga tōsai! 		The cycle of reincarnation is but a Rondo.
In addition to the systems of previous "Majin Tensei series" installments, it features demon conversation, unitification, a contract system, power struggles, weapon sealing, and all-new fusions!

Trivia

  • According to pre-release advertisements, Ronde was originally going to be released on September 18th instead of October 30th.
    • In Weekly Famitsu issue 462, which released on October 9th, Ronde is given a release date of October 23rd.[2]

Nomenclature

A ronde is a French dance in which dancers form a ring and dance laterally along to music.

輪舞曲, romanized rinbukyoku, literally 'wheel dance music' is Japanese for rondo, a style of music in which the first movement recurs once after each other movement.
