Ayato Katsuragi is a character in Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo Revelation. He is the main protagonist.

Like many other protagonists, Ayato Katsuragi is silent, but some scenes through narration can express how Katsuragi is feeling towards certain events. However, his personality is still dictated by the player's actions.

Ayato Katsuragi was born in Hatsudai Shelter long after the ICBMs fell in Tokyo. His mother, Misato Katsuragi died when Katsuragi was at a young age. His father, Hagito Katsuragi was a Devil Buster and disappeared in battle, leaving him alone.

While Katsuragi was sad and isolated, Yoshio Nishino, out of respect for his commander, decided to take Katsuragi into his family.

After doing a enlistment test to apply to the Devil Busters of Hatsudai Shelter, he goes to Battle test at the Virtual Dungeon. After a bug rampages at the Virtual Dungeon, he and his friends fight the bug as the game truly starts.

Katsuragi does the aptitude test in order to be a Devil Buster, depending on the choices made Katsuragi can pass or fail the test. Katsuragi completes the test and Yuuka Tachibana, one of Katsuragi's friends, she went to see him to tell him that she passed the exam. Asking Katsuragi if his results came in, he receives a e-mail and his results can vary depending on the choices made, so either he passes the test and is congratulated by Yuuka, or he doesn't pass the test and Yuuka tells him that is fine and that not everyone passes the first time. He also receives a notice that says that due to his performance during the virtual training he'll get a second chance. After helping the Devil Busters during a demon attack at the entrance of the shelter, he's accepted as a Devil Buster and is assigned to Nishin Squad, that being the 2nd Unit. Regarding this last scenario Katsuragi if Katsuragi doesn't help the Devil Busters during the attack, Katsuragi will not become a Devil Buster.

A few days later Katsuragi receives an e-mail from Harajuku Shelter asking for help and he goes to see his friends at the Devil Busters main room. Depending on the choices made, Katsuragi can either get the chance to go help Harajuku Shelter or not.

• Route 1: Continuing on the previous route where Katsuragi becomes a Devil Buster, he decides to go and check Harajuku Shelter with his friends. Upon leaving the shelter and reaching Harajuku Shelter, they see that door is sealed and they can't enter. After returning to Hatsudai Shelter, Nishino is scolded by Kanetsugu Tachibana, Yuuka's father and then proceeds to scold her too and hits her on the cheek. Katsuragi quickly goes to her side and tries to comfort her. After that they leave the room and Katsuragi bumps into a girl who is calling her father and is accompanied by a woman. Yuuka then appears and tells Katsuragi that that is her sister Miri Tachibana, but that she was born from a different mother. After that, saying that she wants to be alone for the day, she leaves Katsuragi.

• Route 2: Katsuragi decides to stay with Isamu Yamase at the shelter to give support, after some silence the two receive a message from Nishino saying that the current state of the shelter is unknown, since electricity has been cut, making it impossible to enter and that something is definitely wrong at Harajuku Shelter, after that Yamase tells Nishino that now they must come back immediately, after that they receive a message from the Administration Center telling the dispatched Devil Buster units to come back and report to the Administration Center, shortly after that Nishino and the others come back and tell Katsuragi and Isamu that they are free to go.

A few days later, Katsuragi receives an e-mail containing a new program to fight demons, and depending on the choices he or someone else can examine the file.

• Route 1: Katsuragi investigates the file, turning out it was a file called Murmur.bin and upon extracting it, he gets possessed by the demon Murmur the Fallen. After this he starts to feel strange and unconsciously starts to do things he can't remember, like sending a file named Aim.bin to Ochanomizu Shelter, isolating himself from the rest of the group, and unconsciously kills someone during this. After he's told this by Yuuka, they tell Katsuragi to follow them and then they set up a Magnetite trap to see if Katsuragi is being possessed. After they succeed, Murmur appears and starts a fight with them.

• Route 2: Katsuragi asks Tatsuya Hayasaka, a friend of his, what it could be and if he could analyze it, he accepts and then some time later he starts to act strange, unconsciously starts to do things he can't remember, starts to isolate himself from the rest of the group and unconsciously kills someone during this. Afterwards, Katsuragi is told this by Emi and the very next day they set up a exorcism for him with a Magnetite trap to see if he really is being possessed. After it succeeds, the demon Murmur the Fallen appears and starts a fight with them.

• Route 3: Katsuragi asks Emi Kirishima, a friend of his, what it could be and if she could analyze it, she accepts and then some time later she starts to act strange, unconsciously starts to do things she can't remember, starts to isolate herself from the rest of the group and unconsciously kills someone during this. Afterwards, Katsuragi is told this by Tatsuya and the very next day they set up a exorcism for her with a Magnetite trap to see if she really is being possessed. After it succeeds, the demon Murmur the Fallen appears and starts a fight with them.

• Route 4: Katsuragi asks Nishino if he could analyze it, he tells Katsuragi that it would be better for someone like Emi to analyze it or someone with knowledge in computers. Next, Katsuragi can choose between analyzing the file himself or let Emi do it which leads to routes 1 and 3.

After the fight with Murmur the Fallen, he spreads a zombie virus throughout the entire shelter, and so Katsuragi and the rest tries to counter this.

Upon reaching B7F, they group all the citizens into the medical facility and Isamu is tasked to take the citizens to safety while the others take on the demons, but upon trying to leave the floor they encounter a zombified version of Miri, Yuuka's sister. Yuuka faints, upon taking her to safety Nishino tasks Katsuragi and Tatsuya to look for supplies. Upon completing the task they report to Nishino, who then contacts Isamu, telling him everything is okay. After this they rest.

After resting, they go to B8F and find a survivor, so they go to the farm of the shelter to take him there. However, upon reaching the farm they see that everyone there has been zombified and/or have mutated, Isamu is also nowhere to be seen and after fighting some of the zombies they see that Yoko Nishino and her son Chita Nishino have mutated and now are the Mother-Child Fusion Akumajin. After defeating it they receive a message from Kanetsugu that there are demons in the Computer Room in B9F and upon reaching the room they see that Kanetsugu is dead. In addition, Murmur was also there and then he takes Yuuka as a hostage and so he begins a fight, but Katsuragi and his friends are no match for him. Murmur then notices that his guests of honor are here, the demons: Ipos the Fallen, Lamashtu the Femme, Athirat the Lady, Astarte the Tyrant, Abaddon the Koutenshi, Leraje the Koutenshi and Decarabia the Koutenshi who then proceed to violently dismember Yuuka and eat the body parts except for her head. Katsuragi is stunned at this and cannot believe what happened and so Murmur before he leaves spreads a poison gas throughout the entire shelter and so Katsuragi and the rest go to the Anti-Chemical Suits Room at the same floor, but it turns out that there's only 3 suits and Katsuragi has to choose between using one or not.

• Route 1: Katsuragi decides to stay in the shelter so Nishino can escape Emi alongside Hayasaka, and so accompanied by Newton, Emi's dog. They go to the Computer Room where Yuuka died and Katsuragi mutters to himself how everything is over, that he feels no fear towards death, and that he'll embrace it if makes him feel at ease. Katsuragi wakes up in Yomotsu Hirasaka and upon reaching the entrance to the Yomi, he meets the Yomotsu-Shikome who tells him that it is not his time yet and he brings him back to life; waking up at the Computer Room with Newton at his side. Katsuragi leaves the shelter with Newton and finds Yamase, who then tells him the whole truth about what happened at the farm, that he had left everyone to die so he could escape. However, suddenly a man approaches the party, but Newton sees through his disguise and it is revealed that it was Dantalion the Fallen. He tells them to surrender, and so a fight begins regardless of what Katsuragi does. After the fight Dantalion runs away with Yamase.

• Route 2: Katsuragi decides to take the suit, so Nishino decides to stay. Emi, alongside Hayasaka, accompanies Katsuragi and with Newton they go to the Computer Room where Yuuka died and download the D.D.C and D.A.S for the Arm Terminals. After picking up supplies they leave the shelter and find Yamase, who then tells him all the truth about what happened at the farm, and that he left everyone to die so he could escape. Suddenly, a man approaches the party, but Newton sees through his disguise and it is revealed that it was Dantalion the Fallen, who tells them to surrender. A fight begins regardless of what Katsuragi does. After the fight, Dantalion runs away with Yamase.

• Route 3: If Katsuragi dies when fighting Dantalion he'll wake up in the Yomotsu Hirasaka and upon reaching the entrance to the Yomi he meets the Yomotsu-Shikome who tells that is not his time yet and she brings him back to life, then the game continues as if Katsuragi was in Route 1.

Suddenly a jeep approaches to Katsuragi (and his friends if in route 2), they introduce themselves as members of Pentagramma, they are a resistance group that is trying to liberate Tokyo. The people in the jeep then introduce themselves as Tetsuya Sonoda and Koki Kamikawa. They invite Katsuragi to join the group, so they leave to Pentagramma's Base.

After going to Pentagramma's Base Katsuragi accepts the offer to join Pentagramma and alongside his friends he liberates the Shinjuku Labor Camp from Dantalion the Fallen and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building from Bael the Tyrant, the latter being now occupied by Pentagramma as their new base of operations. After some days of celebrating Bael's forces invade the building and Katsuragi alongside Sonoda are captured by Adonis the Fiend and sents them to the Yoyogi Labor Camp, they're separated and Katsuragi meets with Yamase there, who mocks him for being captured but out of kindness he gives a broken Arm Terminal which has a broken navigation system but with the auto-mapping system working.

Katsuragi and Sonoda meet with a mysterious girl when waiting for the Baal Soldiers to come, her name is that of Rui Asuka, Katsuragi meets with her several times during the night to give Katsuragi food.

Katsuragi during the lunch sessions is given the option to praise Bael or not.

• Route 1: If Katsuragi praises Bael he will start to see visions of Bael and dreams about him will appear too, until he is given the chance to get a initiation test where Bael himself through a drug and he will get the chance to praise him again and then his alignment will slightly shift to Chaos.

• Route 2: If Katsuragi decides to not praise Bael he and Sonoda will be sent to torture chambers where they will be whipped for the rest of the lunch session.

After this Rui tells Katsuragi she has been discovered by the guards and can't help him and Sonoda anymore and thus Katsuragi is left alone in the labor camp, after that Yamase comes and tells Katsuragi that if he keeps acting disobediently Baal Zephon the Tyrant will get mad.

The next morning Katsuragi wakes up to Sonoda who has escaped from his cell and tells Katsuragithat they'll escape alongside with Rui, but not long after finding her Baal Zephon appears with Yamase and so fights Katsuragi and his friends, after defeating Baal Zephon Yamase escapes and so does Katsuragi with his friends and after that they reach the Yoyogi-Koen Station and Katsuragi starts having a vision of Yuuka Tachibana telling him things although they have no particular meaning. After this they go Pentagramma's Base at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and when they arrive they're told that Nobuaki Watanabe, their leader wants to see Katsuragi and Sonoda and when they do meet him he reveals to Katsuragi that all the attack at the building was an attempt from Katsuragi and Sonoda to kill Watanabe and take over Pentagramma, and due to this act of treason they'll be sentenced to death but before so they have to wait in the basement as they prepare the execution. Rui and Nekomusume meets Katsuragi and Sonoda and Nekomusume tells them that she tried to convince Watanabe that this wasn't the case, but that he seemed like a completely different person and so she'll help them to escape, so after reaching the exit of the building Rui mentions that Harajuku Shelter's people are being slaved by Adonis and so they may want to try and liberate it.

Katsuragi and the rest go to Harajuku Shelter and liberate it from Adonis, after that they go My City where they learn that people has been dissapearing every full moon, after exploring Tokyo they find the Odakyu HALC where they find Kazumi Yamada, a man living with his little sister named Mei, they're told to leave the place immediately, and after going during a full moon they discover that Kazumi is a werewolf, although he can't control his powers and upon fighting him Kazumi turns back to normal and Kazumi is able to control his newfound powers, after that he and Mei go on a journey through Tokyo to become stronger and prays that he may meet Katsuragi and his friends again.

Upon leaving the building Katsuragi is met by someone who tells him that Adonis is challenging him to a duel at the Shinjuku Ground Zero Colosseum and that as the day passes by not accepting his challenge he will crucify people at the entrance of the colosseum.

Upon getting there he's told that he must do the challenge alone and so Rui and Sonoda wait in a room, and upon going through the colosseum defeating demons he reaches the central room where the arena is and so Adonis starts a fight with Katsuragi.

Upon defeating him Rui appears and tells Katsuragi that Sonoda has been killed, upon reaching the room where Rui and Sonoda were he sees the body, if he decides to mourn him Rui will tell Katsuragi that as someone who lived in the shelters, he has no right to cry over somebody's death, because things like this happen in Tokyo every day. Depending on the choices Katsuragi can leave the body at Kishimojin Temple, and a priest who is friends with Sonoda will tell Katsuragi that due to the body not having a heart, Sonoda will not be able to rest in peace. After that they leave.

After hearing some rumors at a bar and the people at My City they go to Sunshine City as Abaddon is slaving the place, and as they go to the place they find some prisoners, and upon reaching Abaddon's room they see that Emi Kirishima is a hostage and that she is going to be sacrificed in a blood ritual for Abaddon. Upon defeating Abaddon Katsuragi sees that from Abaddon's body the left arm of Yuuka Tachibana appears and is moving as if it was alive. Rui tells Katsuragi that if they get all the body parts he might be able to revive his friend but that she won't participate in Katsuragi's quest for revenge and so she leaves Katsuragi. After this Emi wakes up and after explaining Katsuragi what happened they leave the place, but upon doing so Katsuragi gets a vision of Yuuka, this time she tells Katsuragi to collect her body parts and bring them to Ichigaya.

After liberating the prisoners of Sunshine City Emi tells Katsuragi that she wants to stay with him and look for Tatsuya Hayasaka, as she thinks he might still alive since he dissapeared after the incident at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

After some time passes, Sunshine City is rebuilt and Katsuragi learns that Ochanomizu Shelter is under attack and that an angel may come to their rescue. So they go to the shelter and find the archangel Phaniel, who asks Katsuragi if he will help to save the shelter, depending on the choices Ochanomizu Shelter may or not destroyed by Aim the Fallen. Upon saying yes Phaniel is happy to hear this and Katsuragi goes off to defeat Aim. After he's defeated Phaniel thanks Katsuragi and says that in the meantime she'll help the citizens that remain to help reconstruct the shelter so he can go somewhere else now in the meantime.

After arriving at the Akihabara Metro Station Building they find a man who asks if they're Devil Busters, they say yes and turns out this man is Sanshiro Soma who depending on the choices tells them that he met Yoshio Nishino during his journey on Tokyo, although he laments to tell them that Nishino was killed by the demon Astarte at Gokokuji Temple and that Nishino gave him a picture of Yoko and Chita smiling. He also tells them that he went to the building in order to buy a cyber arm since he lost his to a demon and that he is searching for someone he knew before the bombs fell.

Upon going upstairs in the building they meet with Kazumi, who tells them that is happy to see Katsuragi, and tells him that he left Mei at Toyama Shelter if he wants to see her, after that he leaves.

Once they exit the building they find a merchant who is selling a Devil Buster suit and Emi notices that the suit belongs to Hayasaka, she then proceeds to ask the seller where he got the suit, he said he got it from the trash bin at the Millennium General Hospital, and so they go there and question the doctors if a Devil Buster was recently admitted, they said no but that recently a man with severe burns was admitted and that Dr. Yamamoto treated him. After reaching Dr. Yamamoto's room they ask if it was Hayasaka the person that was admitted, the doctor says that it likely was, but that he couldn't save him, and after asking if they could see the body he says that they can't because only doctors can do see them, but Sanshiro steps in and asks if such a rule exists and that he is recording the conversation so he can go ask the other doctors if such a rule exists, he then tells them that the body was sold to a merchant and that it was likely sold to Akihito Kusaka at Ichigaya Shelter.

When reaching Ichigaya Shelter they are met by Leraje, who then fights him and upon being defeated he drops the right arm of Yuuka and after this they enter the shelter but upon doing so they are asked if they have a invitation card, they say no and are not allowed to enter the shelter. So they then wander Tokyo and find Toyama Shelter who Kazumi mentioned is the place where he left Mei and upon reaching the place they find that it's a maze full of demons and once they reach a warp and they stumble upon the Hirasawa Research Institute they find Dr. Hirasawa who then welcomes them and give them a place to rest since they made it there, after that he calls a Card Soldier to the room and gives Katsuragi and the rest some tea and Dr. Hirasawa presents them as their Demi-Humans, he then asks Katsuragi what is he doing in a place like this one, he then proceeds to tell the doctor about the body parts and if he could preserve them here as he had tanks where they could be stored, but Dr. Hirasawa says he can't and that his apprentice Akihito Kusaka may help them but that the only way to enter Ichigaya Shelter is with an invitation card so he proceeds to make one for Katsuragi and his friends. Suddenly Mei appears and is happy to see Katsuragi, after chatting she leaves to bake cookies.

Once they leave Toyama Shelter they go to Ichigaya Shelter and are met by the recepcionist who asks for the invitation card, after giving it to her she guides Katsuragi and the rest to Dr. Kusaka's room, after mentioning to him the situation he accepts to help Katsuragi but with the condition that he may take some cells of the body to study them. After this Katsuragi and the rest ask him if he was recently sold a body, he says yes and after seeing it they confirm it's Hayasaka, Emi is destroyed by this but will find a way to revive her lover, although Dr. Kusaka mentions that it may not be possible due to the time the body has spent dead, and that while they can revive his soul and put it into a different body, Hayasaka may not have his memories of his past life, Emi despite this still decides to try and revive Hayasaka and so she leaves the party and thanks Katsuragi for helping her in her journey.

Katsuragi now embarks with Sanshiro Soma on a journey to obtain all the body parts of Katsuragi's lost friend, and so they go to Ginza through the Akihabara Station with the help of a Tsuchigumo from Sanshiro Soma to destroy the debris that was in the subway.

Upon reaching Ginza they learn about the cults that are in the district that worship god Baal and the goddess Ishtar and a that during new moons a train from the old Tokyo will appear at the old Shimbashi Station.

Upon trying to leave the underground district of Ginza they find themselves ambushed by the Baal Followers; after being defeated Katsuragi and Sanshiro wake up in a place they've never been before, the Mother Venus Cult HQ. It is revealed that they were taken there by Shizuna Kakusei who after seeing the Baal Followers attack the two got worried and took them over to the main headquarters of the cult to treat them. She explains to Katsuragi that her cult is centered around the goddess Ishtar and awaits for her to reincarnate, and that her son Kazusa Kakusei is in a position called Holy King which is indispensable for the resurrection of Ishtar, she also points out that the Order of Ishtar is centered around Kazusa, the Holy King, she then asks Katsuragi if he would like to meet up with her son, to which he agrees. Sanshiro asks before they leave why she decided to help them if Baalists are allowed to be in the main building, to which she replies that anyone who seeks education is allowed to enter without discrimination but that to know why she helped them they need to meet Kazusa.

Once they go to the Ishtar's Hammer HQ with Shizuna they meet with Kazusa, the Holy King, who despite being young reveals to them that he in a previous life received Inanna's Favor and reveals to Katsuragi the reincarnation of Ishtar, is, in fact Yuuka Tachibana, Katsuragi's friend. While Katsuragi was happy to know this it is revealed that Bael also wants to revive Ishtar by killing Yuuka and tearing her into pieces. Kazusa says that after learning she was killed, they were in despair because Ishtar couldn’t be revived anymore, but for some reason her powers from Ishtar didn’t awaken until she died. Kazusa said that he also doesn’t know why Katsuragi is related in all of this, but that he clearly is in a mission to revive her and that he’s being involved in it. After that he says that even if he just wants to revive her as Yuuka Tachibana he still will help us on that and that he'll help him for that.

Sanshiro in shock asks that even if they revive her, will she keep her mind as Yuuka? Kazusa says that even himself doesn’t know that. However, the fact that the body is still alive doesn’t quit the fact that she’s still alive. Kazusa then says that a reincarnation can experience a “True Awakening” after they already had one, after that he asks Sanshiro if he experienced one since he looked like he had something in mind, he then proceeds to say no, that isn't his story. After that Kazusa said that only Katsuragi can recover Yuuka’s body parts from the demons and revive her. Kazusa also says that he can use the facilities in the base if he needs it.

After that Shizuna asks Kazusa what they’re going to do with Touko Tachibana, Kazusa says that he will introduce someone to Katsuragi, after that Shizuna leaves the room and comes back with a maiden in her side, it was Yuuka’s true mother, Touko Tachibana, though by the time Shizuna found her she lost all her memories and was crazy. They noticed it was her due to pendant-type holographic projector she had with her. Shizuna says that she’s been taken care of her though they don’t allow her to do any activities like the other maidens. After that Kazusa asks Shizuna to make her leave, so they leave the room.

After that Kazusa says that everything now is up to Katsuragi’s will, and even if he sees them as allies or enemies their will to cooperate will remain unchanged, and if he needs something he can talk with him or his mother Shizuna. After that Katsuragi and Sanshiro leave the base of the Ishtar’s Hammer.

Upon going there they find a train with no driver and are lead to the Shinagawa Station and after exploring it they find the Shinagawa Aquarium in which they find the demon Vepar who they fight.

Once Vepar is defeated Katsuragi and Sanshiro leave, but close to the exit they find Rui Asuka, whose eyes are covered in shadows and proceeds to ask Katsuragi if he only sees her as a replacement for Yuuka, depending on the choices here affinity with Rui Asuka will be affected. Regardless of the answers Rui breaks down and tells Katsuragi to stay away from her and so she runs from the place.

Upon leaving Ginza Katsuragi reaches Yebisu Garden and hears rumors that at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel the cries of a little girl are heard and so alongside Sanshiro he decides to explore the place, upon doing so they're greeted by a March Hare and are told that if they wish to Alice they must go to the top floor of the building, upond doing so Katsuragi find Kazumi in one of the rooms, while Kazumi is surprised to see Katsuragi he tells him that he's been looking Alice by petition of Dr. Hirasawa he has been imprisoned by Alice since she grew to like him a lot and calls him his Prince and so he cannot escape. He tells Katsuragi that he noticed that she was very happy in the hotel with all the Trump Soldiers and that just like with Mei, Alice has a scent of "Death" to her, so Kazumi asks Katsuragi if he can help him to escape to which he agrees and so he joins him.

Upon meeting with Alice in her room which was next to Kazumi's, Katsuragi and her have a tea party and are happy to be with each other until Katsuragi remembers his mission to which Alice notices and grows sad.

She said that if they're going to leave that please they should visit her again some time, after saying that the three leave the room and tries to leave the hotel, but closer to the exit they hear the voice of a girl out of nowhere. The voice says that she won’t let them take her prince away, and that she won’t forgive them for that. A mysterious force then pushes Kazumi back out of the exit. Demons appeared in the hotel and the Trump Soldiers attacked the three.

Upon reaching the top floor they found Alice staring at them with sad eyes, she then asks them why we’re taking away her “treasure”, after that she started to cry and she says that she won’t forgive them and pushes them out of the room. She then appeared crying and says that she won’t let us take away her prince with us, and suddenly a bunch of Trump Soldiers attack them, but they’re all easily defeated by Katsuragi and the rest.

Alice stood in front of the door crying and said that she hates adults, after that the place was wrapped up in a light, and Alice transformed into a woman and says that won’t let Katsuragi take her prince, so she attacks him and the rest, and after she’s defeated, she says that she just wanted to have fun every day without anyone bothering her, after that she kicks Katsuragi and the rest out of the building with magic.

Upon entering again, they see that the whole building is full of corpses of Demi-Humans, and in Alice’s Room they found her body too, her body is now the one of a children like she was before transforming. Kazumi is sad about this and stays with Alice, he tells Katsuragi that he’ll take Alice's corpse to Dr. Hirasawa, he hopes they can see each other again sometime, after saying that he leaves the room.

Upon this Katsuragi and Sanshiro leave the building since they have no business there anymore.

While he goes to visit Dr. Hirasawa, on his way through Shinjuku he learns that a castle was built in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and that Bael is still alive.

When reaching Toyama Shelter Dr. Hirasawa tells him that Mei’s illness is almost cured, so she left alongside Kazumi who brought Alice to him so she’s repaired, she doesn’t seem to remember the events at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. After that Katsuragi and Sanshiro leaves.

Katsuragi now at Yebisu Garden again goes to Aoyama and reaches the Roppongi building and learns there are ghosts in the Hanayashiki Amusement Park and that Ipos is at the pleasure quarter of the Great Entertainment District here in the district of Roppongi. So he goes there.

At the entertainment district he learns about the many things people do at the entertainment district and once he reaches the fifth floor he finds Ipos who is surprised to see him here but is saddened by Katsuragi only being here due to his quest for revenge for the death of Yuuka. So after the fight Ipos is defeated and Katsuragi gets one of Yuuka's body parts and after that they leave.

At Yebisu Garden Katsuragi learns that in Otemachi a Messiah has appeared at the Millennium HQ and that the people that goes to Ueno dissapear without leaving any trace so Sanshiro and Katsuragi go to invetigate and reach the Baal Cult HQ and storms the place, upon this he learns about Baal Berith at the Ueno Shrine and that Ishtar was once Bael's wife. At Ueno Shrine he find out that members of Millennium have been captured and sacrificed there, and at the 5th floor Katsuragi finds Baal Berith and fights him, but before doing so he tells Katsuragi that Bael has now gone to Shinjuku and that even if he defeats him here he won't be able to go to Shinjuku as the place is inaccessible.

Once Baal Berith is defeated, on his last breath he casts a spell on Katsuragi and Sanshiro and warps them to a prison in the basement of the shrine, upon being there the two try to escape but only find a dying member of Millennium who tells them that the code to enter the Millennium HQ upper floors and shortly after that the man dies. After lamenting the death of this man they both find a way to leave the basement and upon reaching the entrance of the shrine Sanshiro looks at Katsuragi with a serious expression, he tried to say something but he was mumbling, so Katsuragi told him to not hesitate on what he wants to say. He tells Katsuragi about the friend he was looking for, and that he found a clue for the disappearance of his friend Kyoko Shibusawa, and were separated a long time ago.

Katsuragi objects to him leaving however Sanshiro understands how he’s feeling, but he has no other choice but to leave, so after thinking a bit Katsuragi accepts that Sanshiro leaves, hoping that one day they can meet again. After that he leaves the building.

Briefly after that a woman appeared out of nowhere, it was Rui, she looked strange and asked Katsuragi if he likes her, he can say yes, she then asks if he will die for her, he can say yes or no, she then asks if he would kill her, he can say yes or no. Rui seemed strange to Katsuragi and asked why she asked those things, she said it doesn’t matter and that they’ll meet again, after saying that she leaves the building too.

After leaving the building Katsuragi bumps with a man who was gathering clothes there, Katsuragi asked him why he’s in a dangerous place such as the Ueno Shrine, the man said he was looking for clothes to sell, since clothes are usually thrown around that area, he then says that he sells stuff at Akihabara if he wants to check it out, after that he picks his backpack and leaves the place.

From now on Katsuragi can take on to multiple routes, he can either go to the Millennium HQ and find the truth about this Messiah that has appeared and to find what's happening at the upper floors of the building, or else he can explore Tokyo and find the Hanayashiki Amusement Park which is now called Ohanayashiki.

Regardless of the choice Katsuragi will have to go to the Ohanayashiki later in the game to learn about Ose the Fallen torturing students from Seijo Academy at the Yomi in the Psychic World from a vision of Sanshiro Soma. There he also learns about the mesopatamian tablet called Labis Sigil from Marduk the Deity. At the end of this trip to the Psychic World Katsuragi will fight Doppleganger, then he will have a vision of Yuuka Tachibana saying that he must revive the power of the Goshiki-Fudo Temples, after that Princess Yoshino, leader of the yokai that lives in the Ohanayashiki will tell Katsuragi that Tokyo's fate is in Katsuragi's hands, and that now to show him gratitude she will give him a hexagram saying it might be useful to him and after that he is allowed to leave the place.

If Katsuragi goes to Kishimojin Temple during a full moon and puts the hexagram in the little hokora he will get the option to go to the Subspace, there he will meet with Hariti the Lady who will tell him about how her son Prince Priyankara the Kishin got taken away from her by Bael and that now she has been sealed away at Kishimojin Temple. Hariti will ask Katsuragi if he can help her bring her son back, saying yes or no to her doesn't matter as Katsuragi will accept the quest regardless of the choice made, to which Hariti will give him a Pomegranate Earthenware Bell that will make a unique sound if Priyankara hears it, so Katsuragi now goes to find Priyankara and bring him back to Hariti.

Now, Katsuragi goes to Akihabara Metro Station Building to check out the the deals of the merchant who was scattering for clothes at the outsides of Ueno Shrine, he sells a replica of the Ame-no-Murakumo, a set of Guardian Robes and a Millennium Beret, Katsuragi boughts the last two items as they might be useful for entering the Millennium HQ. So now Katsuragi goes to the Millennium HQ and goes to the upper floors, but before doing so he has to enter a password, password that was given to him by the dying member of Millennium at the Ueno Shrine, he enters the code and so he sees that the upper floors of the Millennium HQ are filled with demons, so upon reaching the upper floor he finds the so-called Messiah that has been causing so much uproar in Tokyo, it's Maitreya who is talking to the High Priest of Millennium. Maitreya is surprised to see Katsuragi here so he asks for guards to make him leave, however the priest tells Maitreya that since Katsuragi came here the guards are all probably dead, he then says that he’ll take care of Katsuragi so Maitreya can go to rest, after that Maitreya leaves the room.

The priest shows and eerie smile and says that he no longer has to use that form, and shows its true form as the demon Belphegor the Tyrant, he says that Katsuragi got Ishtar’s Love, deceived Astarte and that Katsuragi has got so far despite being a mere human, so fighting Katsuragi will make him very happy.

After defeating Belphegor, he says that it was the expected result, and after that he dies, briefly after that Maitreya appears and is surprised to see Belphegor defeated and gets mad, so he then reveals his true form, this being Prince Priyankara, son of the goddess Hariti, he’s mad at Katsuragi for defeating Belphegor and says that he’ll defeat Katsuragi in the name of her mother and so a fight begins.

Two different scenearios can happen here depending on the choices made.

• Route 1: Katsuragi kills Priyankara and sees that in the pedestal there in the room was an ancient mirror, it was the Yata-no-Kagami, one of Japan's sacred treasures, he takes it with him and then leaves the building. If he then goes to see Hariti, she will be mad at Katsuragi for killing Priyankara and a fight will begin, if she's defeated she will bestow Katsuragi the sword Kalavajra and so Katsuragi leaves the place.

• Route 2: Katsuragi rings the Pomegranate Earthenware Bell Priyankara will recognize it and the fight will stop, he then thanks Katsuragi for making him recover his senses and says that now that he has stopped being under Bael's control he can go help his mother Hariti, and so he joins Katsuragi, but before doing so he gives the ancient mirror Yata-no-Kagami, one of Japan's sacred treasures and so Katsuragi goes to see Hariti who is very happy to see his son alright, she thanks Katsuragi for this and gives him the Kalavajra thinking it'd be useful in his quest for defeating Bael. After this Priyankara asks Katsuragi if he can join him in his quest, he can say yes or no, but regardless Katsuragi leaves the Subspace.

Once Katsuragi leaves the Millennium HQ he will find Rui Asuka and says that it has been a long time since she saw Katsuragi, she then proceeds to ask if he has forgot her, he can say yes or no to that question, she then says that she wants us to understand that at the moment she had to go, but now she wants to be with Katsuragi, and then asks him to not ask anything, and to not refuse. Katsuragi then can say that he won’t let her go again and can hug Rui. After that she joins him again and they leave the building.

Katsuragi, now at Ochanomizu Shelter finds out that the place has been reconstructed (if he saved the place from Aim), the people from the shelter thanks him for his efforts and give him his own room at B7F and that he's free to visit at anytime.

Now that Katsuragi knows he must stop Ose at the Yomi, he wanders Tokyo trying to find a way to reach the place and while exploring the Togo Shrine he finds something on the ground, it's a Sakaki, and upon entering the shrine he meets a monk who says that he has met the requirements, shortly after that he dissapears. After that Katsuragi finds a black hole in the place where he found the sakaki, he enters the hole and find himself at the Togo Shrine Basement and he sees a long hallway, and at the end of it he finds a rope that blocks his way, upon trying to break it with his sword he finds out that he's unable to break it, so he leaves the place not knowing what it may mean.

Upon reaching Gokokuji Temple the Sakaki and the Yata no Kagami will shine and so the torii gate will have a portal now, and upon entering Katsuragi is transported to a unknown place, to which Rui asks him to follow her, upon this he will see visions of Yuuka and Rui saying to him that they love him, but upon waking up he appears in the Yomi and after walking a bit he finds a Kunitsukami who says that he keeps returning here without learning his lesson to which Katsuragi replies confused, and so he attacks Katsuragi, but after he's defeated a mysterious voice says that it was enough, that the fight was over, the Kunitsukami Katsuragi fought says surprised the name of his master, and it was indeed Okuninushi. He was apologizing for the behavior of his pupil and heals Katsuragi. Then he mentions how most people in the Yomi is altered because of the presence of the demons, and that it’s because the reincarnation of Taira no Masakado, Kojiro Souma, defeated the demon Ose, the Great President of Hell and that originally, he was supposed to have fallen deeper in hell, but in his dying moments he was able to make a deal with Konohanasakuya's spirit, so he was able to only fall at the Yomi and due to an earthquake, the Yomi was flooded with the dead, and Ose took advantage of that to regain his strength, in the process he stole the Kusanagi no Tsurugi and is planning to feed on the dead from those who will be sent to the Yomi due to the further event that will occur so he can resurrect in the Yomi and later on the Earth. Okuninushi then tells Katsuragi that with the mirror he has, the Magatama that Hiruko has, and the sword of Ose, he’ll have the three sacred treasures and the door to the Takamagahara will be open. He also tells him that if Katsuragi defeats Ose he can take the sword as his reward, since it’ll be better if it was on him rather than in the Yomi, Katsuragi accepts to help them and Okuninushi tells him that Ose is in the lowest level of the Yomi.

Upon reaching the lowest level of the Yomi, two things can happen depending on Katsuragi's alignment:

• Route 1: If Katsuragi has any alignment that isn't Dark-Chaos, he will fight the students of Seijo Academy and then Ose himself, who will wonder what kind of human Katsuragi is and after that he dies.

• Route 2: If Katsuragi has an alignment of Dark-Chaos, Ose will instead propose him a deal to join forces, the deal is about taking him into his computer and bring him to Earth. If Katsuragi accepts, then Ose will join him and once they reach Okuninushi's room he will say that he is surprised to see Ose at Katsuragi's side and then will attack Katsuragi. Once he's defeated, he will sent Katsuragi back to Tokyo.

• Route 3: Same as Route 2 but if Ose isn't summoned by Katsuragi before entering Okuninushi's room he will say that a disaster will fall upon Earth due to Ose being alive and so he sents Katsuragi back to Tokyo.

Route 4: Same as Route 2 but if Katsuragi decides not to fight Okuninushi despite Ose's intentions on killing him, but Katsuragi's intentions are different and so Ose notices this, then Katsuragi walks towards the exit of the Yomi and Ose will follow him although a bit frustrated.

After leaving the Yomi, Katsuragi wanders through Tokyo and reaches Tokyo Bay, when suddenly he gets a message from Hiruko and says that he shouldn't be afraid and that he wants Katsuragi to come to the Ariake Rinkai Colosseum, however it may not be possible for Katsuragi to meet him so easily due to his aides, but with their spiritual strenght they were able to build a bridge that leads to the colosseum.

The Rinkai colosseum is full of Mutants and Kunitsukami Gods, they fight each other in the arena to make each other stronger and the only way for Katsuragi to meet with Hiruko is by fighting in the arena. Katsuragi fights some demons at the arena and at the very end he fights Take-Minakata who is surprised to see Katsuragi come this far.

After he’s defeated, he tells Katsuragi that Hiruko will be glad to meet with him, then he asks Katsuragi to follow so he can led him to Hiruko’s room, after that he leaves.

Upon entering, a strange fetus inside a machine wonders if Katsuragi is the one who won the arena, he then praises Katsuragi’s beauty, saying that he looks pretty good for a human from the Tokyo of today. He then says that Katsuragi had a good reason to see her, so if he has any wish, then he shouldn’t hesitate to tell him. Katsuragi asks him about the Yasaka Magatama and Hiruko is happy to give it to him, since it’s now useless to them. Once he gives it to Katsuragi, the demon Decarabia appears and said he's going to make an attack against Hiruko, since he's a shadow of his former self; he throws a bomb and everything is engulfed by a sudden light.

The following things can happen during this scene:

• Route 1: If Katsuragi decides to jump at where Hiruko is then both will die and will be transported to the Yomi, to which Hiruko will appear in his true form and tells Katsuragi that his work is not done yet so he revives Katsuragi and sents him back to Tokyo Bay, there he'll notice that the Rainbow Bridge is gone, so the path to Ariake is now inaccessible. A mutant then approaches Katsuragi and says that they're happy to Katsuragi alive, but that their leader Hiruko didn't make it, but Katsuragi then tells them about Hiruko being in the Yomi so now they're hopeful that he will come back some day.

• Route 2: If Katsuragi doesn't do anything he'll be taken to the Baal Cult Branch and will find Decarabia asking how is he alive and that following him was a mistake, so he starts a fight and after he's defeated he drops the left leg of Yuuka.

Now that Katsuragi has the three sacred relics, he goes to the Takamagahara, but to access this place he goes to Togo Shrine first, where the Yata-no-Kagami had a reaction. He now finds himself in the secret basement. At the end of the long hallway from the basement, he finds a shimenawa, which he cuts down with his sword, and now when he proceeds further he finds a giant rock with a shimenawa blocking it, a man appeared and said that it was blocking the entrance to the Takamagahara, then a woman started saying in an anguished tone how they still must suffer despite being dead, the people there where ghosts of dead people trying to reach peace. Katsuragi cuts down the rope and then tried to move the rock, however it was too much for him so he checked on his Arm Terminal for a demon with enough strength to move it, he then saw that one of them was strong enough to do it, so he called it and moved the rock.

Now that the rock is not there anymore, a portal appeared, and the ghosts went through it happily, and that's the entrance to the Takamagahara.

Katsuragi now finds himself in the Takamagahara, he explores it for a while, and when reaching a room he finds the goddess Amaterasu, she welcomes Katsuragi and heals his wounds, she then says how if the bond between this world had remained severed by the Ama-no-Iwato, not only the souls of the dead would not be able to ascend to the heavens, but even that divine world might have been extinguished. She then thanks Katsuragi and says that all the gods from the Takamagahara are grateful to him, she then says that to show her gratitude she’ll teach him the skill Tokoto-no-Kajiri, after that she asks Katsuragi if he knows about the conflict between the Amatsukami and the Kunitsukami, he can say yes or no. Regardless she explains how the Amatsukami and Kunitsukami have been in conflict for many years, so she wants him to be their messenger to ask for an alliance to stop Bael and the Hebrew Angels, who in their conflict to conquer Tokyo are making the Amatsukami and Kunitsukami weak because of it. Katsuragi is doubtful to whether or not help them, but at the end he accepts the proposal, Amaterasu thanks him and sends Yamato Takeru to help him look for Take-Minakata of the Kunitsukami to make the alliance.

Katsuragi went to the Rainbow Bridge to see if he could go to see Take-Minakata, upon getting close to it he heard a voice, the voice recognized him as the messenger of Amaterasu and that he was with Yamato Takeru-no-Mikoto, that they were welcomed there and could pass through the Rainbow Bridge. After entering to the Rinkai Colosseum, Katsuragi sees how people is still affected by the death of Hiruko.

When entering Take-Minamata’s Room, Katsuragi tells him about the proposal of Amaterasu, Take-Minakata says that due to how the situation is makes a conflict between the Amatsukami and Kunitsukami very unfavorable, so he agrees to with the proposal and swears to protect Tokyo at all costs, after that Yamato Takeru tells Katsuragi that he’ll inform Amaterasu and thanks him, he then leaves.

Katsuragi goes to the Goshiki-Fudo temples that are spread around Tokyo, Mejiro-Fudo, Meaka-Fudo, Meguro-Fudo, Meki-Fudo and lastly the Meao-Fudou. And upon putting the correct gemstones in the statues in one of the temples he meets Jukai, who notices that the power of the statues is growing so he guides Katsuragi to the Meao-Fudo to put the last gemstones, after doing so Jukai decides to sacrifice his soul in order to revive the Goshiki-Fudo, he starts chanting a mantra and with Katsuragi they visit the other temples in order to revive the Goshiki-Fudo's power.

After doing so the barriers that were around Tokyo were vanished, Rui then said to Katsuragi that now is his chance to retrieves Yuuka’s head at Bael Castle. After they leave the temple, some people appear before Katsuragi asking for his help, that demons started attacking Shibuya, that their barrier disappeared so demons started to attack, and that if they don’t do anything before the archangel appears then Shibuya is doomed.

Katsuragi upon going to Shibuya saw that the place was infested by demons, the people there were begging for help from God desperately. The people from there were asking Katsuragi to protect them from the demons. And upon reaching the top floor Katsuragi encountered the demon Morax, Morax says how now that the seal of Shibuya was gone one of the roadblocks from them to accomplish their mission, being Shibuya’s Angels, is gone. Then he asked if the person before him was Ayato Katsuragi, he then proceeds to say that now that he is here another roadblock to their mission will be gone if he kills him, Morax attacks Katsuragi and a fight begins.

After Morax is defeated, he says that even if he is defeated, he will be the one laughing at the end, after that Morax dies and Shibuya is freed from the demons.

Katsuragi then goes to see their leader, Katsumi Mitake who was waiting for him to come, and says that archangel Gabriel has come to Shibuya, then a dazzling light blinds Katsuragi, but after some moments he opens his eyes and sees in the sky archangel Gabriel, who says that she’ll answer the question he has.

Gabriel reveals to Katsuragi many things to him in , such as Yuuka Tachibana being indeed the reincarnation of Ishtar, that Babylonia was once the capital of Ishtar and that many blood was shed in her name and that she followed a lustful path, but that she was defeated, so God tore her soul apart, the bad part was what became Astarte, the other half became Virgin Mary and that Yuuka is this part of Ishtar's soul, but that Bael has tainted her soul with fear and hatred.

When asking if she can be revived Gabriel says that while it is possible to revive Yuuka she may not be the Yuuka he once knew as her soul has been tainted with fear and hatred by Bael.

Gabriel also says that Yuuka as Ishtar was once Bael's wife, but when he was known as Baal and ruled over Palestine, and that many sacrifices were done for Ishtar and bathed in the blood of the ever-reviving Baal to become immortal.

Gabriel also tells Katsuragi that he bears the mark, but that he is not the Messiah, that he is merely preparing the land for the coming of the true Messiah and that his fate is interwined with Ishtar's and Bael's, that he must find a way to break free from it.

She also tells Katsuragi that he was once a hunter god in ancient Babylonia who slayed a divine dragon. He was then reborn and once again slayed a dragon and obtained the hand of a goddess.

She also reveals that Bael is an ancient, powerful god once known as Baal and that he's a recurring adversary of the Almighty Father. Bael has also revived many times by performing a blood ritual where he himself perishes at the end. This ritual made Bael even more powerful, and every time he revived he craved even more blood. The Almighty Father and angels fought Bael, felling that evil god. His soul was sliced into many parts and cast into hell. In hell, Bael devoured those fragments, regaining his power and thus returned to Earth.

Lastly, she reveals that Katsuragi wavelengths are similar to Bael's and that he was once a soul who offered to Ishtar and that if Katsuragi dies his soul will become one with Bael's, due to having a fragment of Bael within him and making Bael even more powerful.

After that Gabriel says that they all will watch over him, but that he will need to choose his own path, and since the Goshiki-Fudo’s power erased the barriers in Tokyo he now can go to Bael’s Castle, Katsuragi’s next location.

After that Gabriel with her powers creates a barrier to protect Shibuya from the demons, Katsuragi then leaves after the chat with her

Katsuragi, upon entering the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building hears a voice, the voice says that they’ll make good stone statues, after that a Basilisk appeared and attacked him. After he’s defeated Katsuragi continues to explore the building.

Just before going to the elevator, he heard another voice, the voice says that it will not let them proceed further, an Allocen appeared and attacked him. After he’s defeated Katsuragi uses the elevator to go to the top of the building, and in the room from the center, the entrance to Bael Castle was there.

Upon entering, Rui tells Katsuragi to explicitly follow her indications, so they can go to the top floor and retrieve Yuuka’s Head. And after following her indications, the two reach the top floor and in Bael’s Room they found Yuuka’s Head, but no one besides the two were there, Rui then tells Katsuragi to take it fast, since the demons were going to come back if they weren’t fast. So after taking the head of Yuuka and her pendant the two leave the room, but upon leaving, the demon Dantalion appeared, he seemed mad, he says that he knew that they'd come there and take the head since no one was there yet. After that Dantalion says that they’ll die with the head of his loved one, and then attacks the two and a fight begins.

After he’s defeated, he says that the result was expected, after saying that he dies. The two then leave the place and goes in search for the other body parts that are remaining.

Katsuragi now goes to Tokyo Tower to investigate since there were rumors about the place being with suspicious activity, upon going to the top floor he encountered the demon Tammuz, he says that he won’t let him enter the Antarabhava, so he proceeds to attack Katsuragi. After he’s defeated the demon Decarabia may appear if the conditions are met, and he says that maybe he expected too much from Tammuz, and then proceeds to attack Katsuragi since he’s mad that he survived the explosion at the Rinkai Colosseum.

After he’s defeated, he drops the left leg of Yuuka, so Katsuragi takes it, after that, depending on the choices the following can happen:

• Route 1: Katsuragi can leave the place if the conditions to enter the Antarabhava aren't met.

• Route 2: If Katsuragi has the Kalavajra, the sword will shine and Katsuragi will be transported to the Antarabhava, and upon exploring the place he'll find a priest fighting demons with magic, and suddenly a demon appears and Katsuragi asks who they are, the demon reveals to be Baal Hadad, then he remembers Katsuragi as the kid that Adonis hated. Regardless he's surprised to see us and so a fight begins.

After he's defeated, Baal Hadad says that we have come so far, and asks for forgiveness from Bael, then he dissapears.

Suddenly, the monk that was fighting the demons using magic appears and calls himself Jukai and thanks Katsuragi for saving him and tells him that due to the attack of the demons the souls there were not able to reincarnate and that he was sent to fight the demons, and after that Jukai says that Katsuragi should leave, as it is not a place for the living to dwell in

Katsuragi finds himself in Yaesu, since there were rumors of children living there, last time he went he was kicked out of the place by the children, but strangely enough this time no one was there, so he entered the building.

After talking with some of the people that live there, he learned that their leader is called Eita, and is with the demon Marduk protecting them.

Katsuragi finds Eita and tells him that Marduk is looking for him, he then asks Katsuragi why he’s staring at him with a weird face, that Marduk does the same too and he doesn’t understand.

Katsuragi is told by one of the children that Marduk told them that if they see a guy with an Arm Terminal then he was allowed to enter the place.

Katsuragi is told by one of the children that Marduk despite being a demon he’s a good person, that Marduk taught them how to do basic things, like fight and study.

Katsuragi is told by one of the children that he had a dream, a dream where humans and demons could coexist together in peace, he said he was kind of embarrassed for it but that he’d really like a world like that.

Upon visiting Marduk, he welcomes Katsuragi and talks to him like if he knew him before which makes Katsuragi a bit uneasy. Then Marduk tells him the truth that he was once Nishino, that he died after separating from Hayasaka and Emi, but then he met his true form, the demon Marduk, who accepted to be his Bunrei. Nishino tells Katsuragi that he still hasn’t forgive himself for not being able to protect his family, the people from the shelter and him, so after wandering through Tokyo trying to fulfill Marduk’s expectations, Nishino encountered Sanshiro Souma, but Nishino later died at Gokokuji Temple by the demon Astarte, being a Bunrei with not much experience, the only way Nishino could revive again was as the demon Marduk, fusing his soul and body with him, however his heart was still the same. After Marduk ended, Katsuragi’s heart was swirled with a lot of emotions because of the reunion with Nishino, but suddenly the two heard a voice entering the room, and Marduk’s calm expression suddenly intensified. Katsuragi was feeling a bit anxious to look behind to see the uninvited guests, then suddenly the voice spoke, it was Yamase.

Yamase seemed surprise to see Katsuragi in a place like Yaesu, then with a grin in his face he set up his Arm Terminal to summon a demon. He then proceeds to tell Marduk that he playing the good guy act despite being a demon was pretty bad for them and that his superiors are getting annoyed and don’t know how to deal with him since he put a barrier that protects Yaesu from all demons. Marduk now angry, tells Yamase that he’s the one who took his family and now soon will sent his children in Yaesu to hell, Yamase seems confused with what Marduk said and asks what he’s talking about. Marduk changing to Nishino’s form asked him to remember the people who were driven to their dead by his stupid and brutal acts. Yamase is shocked to see his old commander, then Marduk says that while he couldn’t protect the shelter, that it was, his and only his fault that the evacuees died, Yamase replies to him saying that no matter what he could’ve done at the time, they would inevitably die sooner or later, he just let them die sooner. After saying that, he tells the commander that now he’s done, Yamase began to operate the Arm Terminal with his trembling hands, however his fingers did not move as expected and his face turned pale. Marduk then mad said to Yamase that he must take responsibility of his actions, Yamase says that the summoning was complete and upon saying so Marduk said “die” and shots an arrow to Yamase.

Yamase dies, and in his dying words he says that he would’ve love to have been born in the Tokyo from before the apocalypse and tells the Marduk that he’ll wait him in hell. As soon as his body collapsed the atmosphere in the place changed, and the air was cold, meaning that a demon was close. Lamashtu the Femme was summoned.

Lamashtu is surprised to see Katsuragi here and remembers him from the fight with Adonis at the Ground Zero Colosseum, she then says that she’ll clean up this mess along with Yamase, Marduk complains saying that her objective is him and that she should start with him. Lamashtu is disappointed of Marduk by letting himself fall by a Bunrei and stooping down by “worthless” emotions, after saying that she says that she’ll get rid of Katsuragi and Marduk and so a fight begins.

After defeating Lamashtu, Lamashtu seals Marduk in the Labis Sigil lithograph, she mocks of him and says that forever in the time to come he will be sealed in the lithograph and bemoan his life in eternal darkness, removed even from the frame of reincarnation.

After that she looks at Katsuragi and says that her dogs will be enough to deal with him, they attack Katsuragi and afight begins.

After they’re defeated Lamashtu gets mad and attacks Katsuragi and another fight begins.

After Lamashtu is defeated and her body disappears Yuuka’s chest appears and Katsuragi takes it with him.

The room were Marduk and Katsuragi were was empty, just Katsuragi and the lithograph, he notices some kind of inscription and takes the Labis Sigil with him, shortly after that a girl appears saying that she’s scared and Eita appears, he tells her to go to see her brothers or Marduk will scold her, after that she leaves.

Eita then asks Katsuragi if Marduk is really dead, he says that he was watching everything and since he’s sealed in the lithograph maybe Katsuragi can destroy the seal but it may take some time. Katsuragi remains silent, Eita says that he thought so, but that they have lived alone for so long that even without Marduk’s help they will able to survive, but if they can’t it’ll mean that humans won’t have a future, but that it’s not true, humans do have a future he says and that everyone will stay alive until Marduk returns to them.

Katsuragi smiles at Eita, Eita asks him if he’s taking the Lithograph with him, he says that Katsuragi can keep it, that he feels that Katsuragi can bring Marduk back, that despite not trusting anyone who isn’t their friends he trusts Katsuragi. After that he tells Katsuragi that he’ll go with his friends, and that if he needs something that please let him know.

Eita told the kids at Yaesu that Marduk went away to defeat some demons, the kids are sad but will try to not disappoint Marduk and the things he taught to them.

Upon leaving Yaesu through the exit at the subway, Katsuragi sees some maidens of the Mother Venus cult, they congratulate Katsuragi for defeating Lamashtu, the maidens tell Katsuragi that Shizuna wants to see him, Katsuragi agrees and goes with them to the HQ of the Mother Venus cult.

Upon entering Shizuna’s Room, Shizuna says that now that Lamashtu was defeated, the body of Ishtar is almost complete, though as the ancient legend says, his son Kazusa will follow the same fate as the “hunter”. She asks Katsuragi if he remembers the first time they met, when the Baal Soldiers attacked them, it was her, she ordered the Baal Soldiers to attack Katsuragi and that if it wasn’t because Kazusa told her about us, she would not have saved Katsuragi from them.

She was at loss, but she will not let Kazusa die, and tells Katsuragi that he will die here. She then calls Athirat and she appears in the room.

Athirat says that the determination of Shizuna is something demons can’t comprehend, but is something to fear and must not be underestimated, which is why the previous demons that fought Katsuragi have lose to him, but that now his good luck has ended, and thus will die here to her, a fight begins.

After Athirat is defeated, she says that it was a good fight and disappears, from her body, the abdomen of Yuuka appears and Katsuragi takes it with him.

Shizuna appears in shocked to see Athirat being defeated.

Depending on the choices, the following can happen:

• Route 1: Katsuragi forgives Shizuna and Kazusa appears and tells Katsuragi that now that Athirat is dead Shizuna has no powers and thus he shouldn't have any reasons to hurt her, then Kazusa reveals to Katsuragi that in reality he is the legendary hunter that was Ishtar's husband, that she told him on a vision shortly after he met with Katsuragi. And after staring silently at Kazusa, Katsuragi leaves the room, but just when he did Kazusa thanks him.

• Route 2: Katsuragi, hurted by the betrayal, tries to kill Shizuna. She screams and faints out of fear, suddenly maidens appear and were worried about Shizuna, the maidens tell Katsuragi to leave, but he is decided to kill Shizuna, and out of fear the maidens remained silent. Katsuragi upon touching Shizuna’s body, recovers her consciousness and staggered to her feat tries to remain up. Katsuragi pointed his gun to her head, and tries to pull the trigger. But suddenly Katsuragi hears a scream, it was Kazusa telling him to stop, but it was too late, Shizuna said Kazusa’s name and then sound of a gun sounded in the room. However, Katsuragi’s aim slightly deviated and he ended shooting a wall instead. Kazusa appeared and told Katsuragi that now that Athirat is dead her mother doesn’t have any powers anymore, and that in reality he is the legendary hunter that was Ishtar's husband, that she told him on a vision shortly after he met with Katsuragi and that now he should not have any reasons to kill her. Katsuragi pointed the gun at him but suddenly, a gun was fired, but it wasn’t Katsuragi. Katsuragi started to feel pain in his body, and shortly before fainting out he saw that it was Yuuka’s mother, Toko Tachibana who shot him, Katsuragi dies. The priestesses screamed scared and some Baal Soldiers appeared, mocking at Katsuragi for being killed by a mad woman, the soldiers then ordered the priestesses to take out the body from here and he's kicked from the Mother Venus HQ.

After all this, Katsuragi, goes to see Dr. Kusaka to revive Yuuka, he’s happy that we got all the body parts so he takes us to the room to revive her. After doing so her body emits a soft, faint light and her body that was separated in parts came together again. Yuuka looked at Katsuragi and smiled, her eyes were filled with joy, but she suddenly lost consciousness due to her lack of heart.

Everyone in the room was surprised by this, especially Rui, she then suddenly leaves the room but before opening the door she tells Katsuragi that she’ll leave, but next time they meet it will be at Bael Castle.

After this Katsuragi goes to Bael Castle in Shinjuku, and the climax begins.

Katsuragi on one of the floors of the castle finds Doppelgänger, after being defeated Katsuragi continues to explore the place.

At Bael Castle 6th floor, Rui will reveal that her true form is that of Astarte the Tyrant, that she ate Yuuka's heart back at Hatsudai Shelter and she will make Katsuragi choose between her and Yuuka.

Depending on the choice Katsuragi makes here, either Astarte or Ishtar the Megami will join depending on how he replies to Rui's question regarding who he loves, if it is Yuuka or her. Affinity with these characters also affects it.

• Route 1: Katsuragi chooses Yuuka and depending on the affinity with Rui different events can happen, in one of them Katsuragi fights her and on the other she rips out her heart from her body and gives it to Katsuragi, and so Yuuka transforms into Ishtar the Megami. Then at the top floor of Bael Castle, they find Murmur the Fallen who is defeated after a fight, and then upon entering the main room they find Baal the Tyrant who asks Ishtar to be his wife to which she refuses; he ends up starting a fight. Upon being defeated, Baal asks Katsuragi to pierce him with his own sword or if he'll be the new King of Tokyo, saying no to either question results in Baal transforming into a frog and can either die or escape depending on the choices. After that Katsuragi and Ishtar stand upon the ruined city and Katsuragi says that his love between him and Ishtar will be eternal.

• Route 2: Depending on if Katsuragi chose Yuuka or gets betrayed by her and had a Law alignment he instead will be greeted by angels calling him the new Messiah.

• Route 3: If Katsuragi's alignment was Light-Law, after doing any route he will grow angelic wings on his back and also be called the new Messiah depending on if he did Route 2.

• Route 4: If Katsuragi chooses Rui, this enrages Ishtar and attacks Katsuragi who dies after being defeated. Upon reaching the top floor of Bael Castle they fight Murmur the Fallen who is defeated, and then upon entering the main room they find Baal the Tyrant. Baal asks Astarte where Ishtar is, and she responds that she is dead. Now enraged, Baal starts a fight. Upon being defeated, Baal asks Katsuragi to pierce him with his own sword or if he'll be the new King of Tokyo, saying no to either question results in Baal transforming into a frog and can either die or escape depending on the choices. After this, Katsuragi alongside Astarte stand on a pile of demons, now calling themselves the new rulers of Tokyo.

• Route 5: If Katsuragi chooses Rui and gets any route related to her, he will see Ishtar flying to the moon with a sad face; the beautiful Goddess will await for his next time to reincarnate.

• Route 6: If Katsuragi says yes to the questions Baal asks or dies during the fight with him, he will then see everything as darkness, he sees visions of demons he fought mocking him. If he decides to struggle, he will see a lot of demons praising him as their new King and after that he loses consciousness, if he chose Rui he will also get Route 5.

• Route 7: If Katsuragi chooses Yuuka and has middle affinity with Rui, then she will fuse with Yuuka regardless of who Katsuragi chooses. Upon reaching Bael Castle's top floor they fight Murmur the Fallen and after defeating him, they enter the main room and find Baal the Tyrant. Ishtar, despite having come along obediently to Katsuragi and her face changed to one resembling that of Rui, says how dare he betray her and depending on what Katsuragi says then a fight against Ishtar will begin. After she's defeated, Baal will be enraged about losing his wife and so will fight Katsuragi. After his defeat, if Katsuragi had a Chaos alignment he will be seen at the top of countless demons and he will now pronounce himself as the new ruler of Tokyo.

• Route 8: If the requirements for Route 7 are obtained but he had any other alignment that isn't Chaos, Katsuragi will be directed to Route 1.
