Kanetsugu Tachibana had two wives, Tōko Tachibana and Karin Tachibana, Touko's daughter is Yuuka Tachibana and Karin's daughter is Miri Tachibana.

Once Hatsudai Shelter is invaded, he remains at the B8F of the shelter to seek protection and asks Yoshio Nishino's Devil Buster unit for help. However, upon reaching the place, they only see a sea of blood with Kanetsugu's body laying there motionless.
