Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo Revelation

Shinjuku in this game is divided in four districts: Shinjuku, Nishi-Shinjuku, Kita-Shinjuku and Shinjuku Ground Zero. It is the location of places like the Odakyu HALC, Shinjuku Underground, My City, Keio LUMINE and the Shinjuku Underpass.

Shinjuku is first explored after the resistance group called Pentagramma defeats Dantalion the Fallen on the Shinjuku Labor Camp so after this Ayato Katsuragi and his friends with Pentagramma storms Bael Castle which was once known as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Once he's defeated Pentagramma makes this their new base of operations.

After some time Bael's forces attack the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building to try and recapture it and they succeed, Katsuragi and his friend Tetsuya Sonoda were captured and send to the Yoyogi Labor Camp to which they escape with the help of Rui Asuka, they also learn that Bael Castle is now being under construction at the top of the building.

One important event is the occurrence of dissapearings during full moons at My City and the hearing of howlings during those nights. Turns out these events are caused by Kazumi Yamada who turns into a werewolf during full moons, Katsuragi with the help of Tetsuya and Rui they break free Kazumi from his curse and now he can control his powers at will, so after these events he with his little sister Mei leave the Odakyu HALC and travel through Tokyo to atone for the lifes he took and to train to be stronger in hopes they'll meet again.

At Shinjuku Ground Zero, Katsuragi can find the Underground Colosseum, he goes there with Sonoda and Rui after he's challenged by Adonis the Fiend to a battle 1 to 1 in the aforementioned place, after he's defeated by Ayato someone comes to see him and it's Rui who tells him that while they were waiting, Tetsuya was killed by a demon, after seeing the state of the corpse they noticed it had no heart, that it was ripped out by someone. Katsuragi can decide to mourn Tetsuya to which Rui yells at him saying that he lived in the shelters, a peaceful live, but that in Tokyo people can die every day. After this they leave the place.

After the Goshiki-Fudo temples are activated, the barrier protecting Bael Castle and Shibuya is destroyed, to which Katsuragi and Rui decide to go Bael Castle and retrieve the head of Yuuka Tachibana who was killed at Hatsudai Shelter, to their surprise there was nobody at the castle, so once they retrieved the head they're found by Dantalion the Fallen, which they fight and upon defeating him they leave the place and go to Ichigaya Shelter to revive Katsuragi's friend.

After she's revived, the lack of heart is noticed and Rui tells Katsuragi to go to Bael Castle again since she'll be waiting for him there. Upon reaching the 6th floor, Katsuragi finds Rui who reveals to him that in reality she is Astarte the Tyrant and she has Yuuka´s heart. Depending on the choice Katsuragi makes here either Astarte the Tyrant or Ishtar the Megami will join depending on how he replies to Rui's question regarding who he loves, if Yuuka or her.

Route 1: Katsuragi chooses Yuuka and depending on the affinity with Rui different events can happen, in one of them you fight her and on the other she rips out her heart from her body and gives it to Katsuragi and so Yuuka transforms into Ishtar the Megami, then at the top floor of Bael Castle they find Murmur the Fallen who after a fight is defeated, and then upon entering the main room they find Baal the Tyrant who after asking Ishtar to be his wife and refusing he starts a fight. Upon being defeated, Baal asks Katsuragi to pierce him with his own sword or if he'll be the new King of Tokyo, saying no to either question Baal transforms into a frog and can either die or escape depending on the choices. After that Katsuragi and Ishtar stand upon the ruined city and Katsuragi says that his love between him and Ishtar will be eternal.

Route 2: Depending on if Katsuragi chose Yuuka or gets betrayed by her and had a Law alignment he instead will be greeted by angels calling him the new Messiah.

Route 3: If Katsurafi's aligment was Light-Law after doing any route he will grow angelic wings on his back and also be called the new Messiah depending on if he did Route 2.

Route 4:Katsuragi chooses Rui, this enrages Ishtar and attacks Katsuragi who after is defeated dies. So upon reaching the top floor of Bael Castle they fight Murmur the Fallen who after a fight is defeated, and then upon entering the main room they find Baal the Tyrant who after asking Astarte where is Ishtar, she responds that she is dead, and now enraged, Baal starts a fight. Upon being defeated, Baal asks Katsuragi to pierce him with his own sword or if he'll be the new King of Tokyo, saying no to either question Baal transforms into a frog and can either die or escape depending on the choices. After this, Katsuragi alongside Astarte stand on a pile of demons, now calling themselves the new rulers of Tokyo.

Route 5: If Katsuragi chooses Rui and gets any route related to her and route 6 on the sky will be seen Ishtar flying towards the moon with a sad face, the beautiful Goddess will await for his next time to reincarnate.

Route 6: If Katsuragi says yes to the questions Baal makes or dies during the fight with him, he then will see that everything is now darkness, he sees visions of demons he fought mocking him and then if he decides to struggle he will see a lot of demons praising him as their new King and after that he loses consciousness, and if he chose Rui he will also get Route 5.

Route 7: If Katsuragi chooses Yuuka and has middle affinity with Rui Asuka then she will fuse with Yuuka regardless of who Katsuragi chooses Rui will fuse with Yuuka and upon reaching Bael Castle's top floor they fight Murmur the Fallen, and after defeating they enter the main room and they find Baal the Tyrant. But Ishtar despite having come along obediently to Katsuragi her face changed to one some resembling that of Rui and says how dare he betray her and depending on what Katsuragi says then a fight between Ishtar will begin and after she's defeated Baal will be enraged about losing his wife and so a fight with him begins. After his defeat if Katsuragi had a Chaos alignment he will be seen at the top of countless demons and he will now pronounce himself as the new ruler of Tokyo.

Route 8: If obtained the requirements for Route 7 but had any other alignment that isn't Chaos you'll get Route 1.

Trivia

In the PC-98 version of the game, if you visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building after having went to the Shinjuku Ground Zero Colosseum you'll get a text of Tetsuya Sonoda saying that it's better to not be there, even though he is not at the party during this moment of the story. This happens due to a bug in the game.
