Tetsuya Sonoda is a character in Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo Revelation.
Profile
Tetsuya Sonoda was born in Harajuku Shelter and lived there as a Devil Busters until its destruction, after that with his friend Koki Kamikawa they join the resistance group named Pentagramma.
Gameplay
Sonoda learns force, support and some physical skills. He joins Ayato Katsuragi upon reaching the Resistance Base and leaves after the Underground Colosseum dungeon.

Tetsuya Sonoda was born in Harajuku Shelter and lived there as a Devil Busters until its destruction, after that with his friend Koki Kamikawa they join the resistance group named Pentagramma.
He meets Ayato Katsuragi for the first time at the exit of Hatsudai Shelter after he escapes from the shelter, he and Kamikawa offer him to join Pentagramma and he accepts.
At Pentagramma's base they meet Nobuaki Watanabe, the leader of Pentagramma and accepts him into the resistance group as he considers he'll be good material for them and tells Katsuragi to sleep with Sonoda in his room and that they should prepare for the incoming operation which is the liberation of the Shinjuku Labor Camp at Kabukicho from the hands of Dantalion the Fallen.

After they go there and liberate the place Pentagramma decides to take on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and liberate it from the hands of Bael the Tyrant, Sonoda and Katsuragi with the rest of Pentagramma go there and while Bael is defeated, as a last desperate attempt to defeat Pentagramma Bael launches an attack aimed for Katsuragi but Kamikawa steps up and gets the attack instead of Katsuragi and so dies. Everyone is sadenned by this but think that Kamikawa's sacrifice will not be in vain.

Now that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building has been liberated, Pentagramma moves their main base of operations from Kamiochiai to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
One day they're attacked by the remaining Bael forces led by Adonis the Fiend and Sonoda with Katsuragi are captured and send to the Yoyogi Labor Camp, while Sonoda works and refuses to praise Bael during recesses, Katsuragi can or not get punished if he decides to praise Bael.
Sonoda eventually finds a way to escape from the labor camp and meet Rui Asuka who they also escape with, but not before fighting Baalzephon, the leader of the Yoyogi Labor Camp.
After this they go back to Pentagramma's base but Watanabe says they're spies from the demons and so sentences Katsuragi and him to death, but with the help of Rui and Nekomusume they escape so now without anywhere to go they decide to check Harajuku Shelter as Rui says that the place is being enslaved by Adonis, and so Katsuragi, Sonoda and Rui go there.
After going there and liberate the shelter they go to My City at Shinjuku and hear rumors of people dissapearing every full moon, after investigating they go to the Odakyu HALC and find a girl named Mei with her brother Kazumi Yamada, they both live alone but tell Sonoda and the rest to leave, but upon going there during a full moon they see that Kazumi in reality is a werewolf and after a fight they defeat Kazumi who now has returned to his human form and can now control his werewolf powers. So after that he and Mei leave the Odakyu HALC, Kazumi leaves to become stronger and find a cure to the illness Mei has, but with hopes they'll meet again soon.

After this Katsuragi is challenged by Adonis to a 1 to 1 fight, the place of this contest will be at the Underground Colosseum of the Shinjuku Ground Zero, upon reaching the place Sonoda and Rui are told to wait while Katsuragi fights but out of nowhere, once Katsuragi defeats Adonis, Rui comes to tell him that Sonoda has been killed by a unknown assailant, upon going there Katsuragi can or not decide to mourn him, if he does Rui will scold him saying that he lived protected in the shelters, that things like this happen every day in Tokyo and so crying is useless. After this Katsuragi brings Sonoda's corpse to Kishimojin Temple, a place Sonoda that had a friend of Sonoda's, he notices that his heart has been ripped of his body and so he may not rest in peace.
Sonoda after this only makes a brief appearance in the Psychic World and tells Katsuragi to be aware of someone although the identity of this person who Katsuragi must be aware of is unknown.

Trivia
- In the PC-98 version of the game, if you visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building after having went to the Underground Colosseum at the Shinjuku Ground Zero you'll get a text of Sonoda saying that it's better to not be there, even though he is not at the party during this moment of the story. This happens due to a bug in the game.
