Hayasaka learns physical skills and leaves the party after the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building dungeon.

Hayasaka was born in Hatsudai Shelter and is friends with Ayato Katsuragi, he's a Devil Buster from the 2nd Unit led by Yoshio Nishino, his parents also live in Hatsudai Shelter and is the boyfriend of Emi Kirishima who is also a Devil Buster.

After Hatsudai Shelter is invaded he is forced to fight demons and see the death of Yuuka Tachibana by the hands of the Bael Believers.
He escapes Hatsudai Shelter alongside his lover and join the resistance group named Pentagramma, who with Katsuragi's help liberate the Shinjuku Labor Camp from Dantalion the Fallen and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building from the hands of Bael the Tyrant.
After this, Pentagramma occupies the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building as their new base of operations, but after a demon attack Hayasaka disappears.
His body and clothes are found by Katsuragi and Emi after a merchant is trying to sell his Devil Buster suit, to which they learn that the merchant got them from the trash cans of the Millennium General Hospital, after interrogating the doctor who treated Hayasaka after being interned they learn that Hayasaka died with several burns in his body and that the body was sold to Akihito Kusaka from Ichigaya Shelter. Dr. Kusaka tells them that yes the body is with him but that they can't revive it due to having been dead for quite a while. Emi is not disheartened by this, instead she promises Katsuragi that she'll find a way to revive Hayasaka and that her resolve is this.
