Newton has a fixed set of skills and can't learn new skills through level up, instead he can learn some new skills once he's repaired by Akihito Kusaka at Ichigaya Shelter.

Newton joins Ayato Katsuragi during the demon invasion at Hatsudai Shelter and follows Katsuragi if he decides to stay at the shelter after the poison gas is spread by Murmur the Fallen.
After this, he joins the resistance group called Pentagramma but it's unknown what happens to him afterwards. He disappears and his body is found by Katsuragi at the Ginza Line subway and is given the option to either let Emi Kirishima repair him or let Akihito Kusaka repair him. Regardless of the choice, Newton is brought back to life again and joins Katsuragi in his journey.
