Persona 4 The Golden Animation is an anime TV series adaptation of the videogame Persona 4 Golden, the fifth entry in the Persona series. While the previous anime, Persona 4 The Animation, adapted the entire plot line of the game, the second series only adapted the new content added in Golden with a special focus on Marie. The series was produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, the anime run for 12 episodes from July 10 to September 25, 2014, with an OVA that was included with BD/DVD volume 4 released on December 10, 2014. The series was licensed by Aniplex in North America and by Madman in Australia. While the show never recieved an English dub, it was simulcasted with English subtitles on Crunchyroll.

| An episode told from Adachi's PoV. During spring, he comes to Inaba and meets the Dojimas. He starts to adjust to life in Inaba, but he feels like he no longer belongs due to Yu's arrival, leading to Mayumi Yamano's and Saki Konishi's deaths. In the present day, Yu has been making Adachi dinner, but Adachi has eaten none of it and begins throwing it out. After Nanako becomes hospitalized, Adachi goes into denial over his own actions and tells Yu that everything that happened to Nanako is all Yu's fault.

| Yu tracks down Adachi in the Desolate Bedroom by himself. When their Personas cross blades, Yu is able to peek into Adachi's mind. He sees memories of Adachi's past distancing himself from others, and the time he spent with the Dojimas. Adachi threatens him with his gun and tells Yu to go back to his friends. Yu begins to question himself, as he was previously unaware that his actions had hurt someone else. After talking with Marie, he comes to treasure the memories he has made with people and goes back to confront Adachi with the rest of the Investigation Team.

The Golden Animation was released in North America by Aniplex USA as two box sets. In addition to the anime, the boxes include the same soundtracks, art cards, and booklets as the Japanese releases with the booklets being combined into one larger booklet.

- In the audio commentary for BD/DVD volume 4, the director mentions making the cast forget about Marie for the Christmas episode.[5] This is reflected in the opening of episode 8 changing to Key Plus Words, the 2nd opening from Persona 4 The Animation. Additionally, the ending animation featuring Marie has a grainy filter on it during episodes 8-9.
