Persona 4 The Golden Animation is an anime TV series adaptation of the videogame Persona 4 Golden, the fifth entry in the Persona series. The series was produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, the anime run for 12 episodes from July 10 to September 25, 2014, with an OVA that was included with BD/DVD volume 4 released on December 10, 2014. The series was licensed by Aniplex in North America and by Madman in Australia. It was simulcasted with English subtitles on Crunchyroll.

• In the audio commentary for BD/DVD volume 4, the director mentions making the cast forget about Marie for the Christmas episode. This is reflected in the opening of episode 8 changing to Key Plus Words, the 2nd opening from Persona 4 The Animation. Additionally, the ending animation featuring Marie has a grainy filter on it during episodes 8-9.
