In the audio commentary for BD/DVD volume 4, the director mentions making the cast forget about Marie for the Christmas episode.[5] This is reflected in the opening of episode 8 changing to Key Plus Words, the 2nd opening from Persona 4 The Animation. Additionally, the ending animation featuring Marie has a grainy filter on it during episodes 8-9.
