Gameplay
The premise of the game was that the player had just moved to Inaba, where card battles had become a popular hobby. The player then explored areas in Inaba and collected cards based on characters, Personas, and Shadows from Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden. While exploring, the player could find a whole card, or a fragment of the card which would later be fused together to make a whole card. Others were obtained from events and by rolling in the paid gacha. As a social-type game, players were also able to trade cards with one another, though this had restrictions such as requiring trading passes, and not all cards could be traded.
Cards
All cards had attack and defense values, were sorted into 3 colored categories based on the Social Stats in Persona 4 (Red Diligence, Green Courage, and Blue Knowledge), had varying levels of rarity from Normal to Super Great Rare, and came with a skill that could be used in battle. Leveling up cards to their max level also gave the player equipment that could further increase attack and defense. Some cards had variants in all 3 colors with slightly different stats. For example, red Konohana Sakuya had balanced attack/defense, green had lower attack but higher defense, and blue had higher attack but lower defense. Cards based on characters had fewer stats but could hold more equipment.
Battles
The game's combat was a simple form of card battling where the player faced against NPCs and other players, selected 3 cards to use, and the attack and defense values of the player's cards were compared against their opponent's. Damage followed rock-paper-scissors rules: Diligence cards were weak to Knowledge but strong against Courage, Courage cards were weak against Diligence but strong against Knowledge, and Knowledge cards were weak against Courage but strong against Diligence.
Campaigns
Players who pre-registered before the game launched received a free gacha ticket for an R rarity or higher card. Around the release of the Android app in December of 2012, there was a 200,000+ user campaign where users who logged in between December 26th and January 4th were given 1 gacha ticket, 200k strengthening points to level cards with, and 2000 friend points. For the game's 1st anniversary, players could earn up to 8050 coins and receive multiple GR rarity gacha tickets as a login bonus.
Events

Reason: Atwiki has a list of every event that was in the game. |
During the game's lifetime, there were frequent events that awarded players with cards, such as a player raid battle versus Shadow Teddie which rewarded players with Shadow Teddie's card. Other events were accompanied by gachas where players rolled and could receive recovery items and rare cards. During the theatrical release of Persona 3 The Movie in 2013, there were events where players could obtain cards featuring Makoto Yuki, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Akihiko Sanada.
