Synopsis

Chronologically, the audio drama takes place after Mitsuo Kubo's capture and the school trip to Tatsumi Port Island but before the Secret Laboratory. This places it between episodes 4 and 5 of the anime, as Naoto Shirogane has not yet joined the group.

After returning from Tatsumi Port Island, the Investigation Team recaps their class trip for Marie. Marie is a little bitter hearing them talk about this as she wants to be able to make memories. Rise Kujikawa proposes a visit to a hot spring, which excites Yosuke Hanamura, but Chie Satonaka instantly rejects this due to Yosuke's reaction and the warm weather. Yukiko Amagi then suggests a test of courage. Chie isn't particularly thrilled about it, but the others, including Marie, are all on-board. They consider doing it at Tatsuhime Shrine or Junes before deciding on sneaking into Yasogami High School the next night.

The next day at school, Yu Narukami invites Naoto Shirogane to come along for the test of courage, but Naoto refuses due to being busy with the investigation. At night, the group enters the school through a door that Yosuke left open earlier in the day, a reference to Junpei Iori in Persona 3. Yu starts to call him brilliant, but the others are completely unimpressed. Once inside, they draw numbers to split into pairs and go around the school together, with the goal being to hang paper talismans at the ends of the hallways on all three floors of the classroom building. Yosuke is thrilled to be paired with Rise, while Rise wants to be paired with Yu. Chie gets paired with Teddie. Yukiko gets paired with Kanji Tatsumi and tells him they will discover the Seven Mysteries of Yasogami High (Kanji has no idea what she's talking about). Lastly, Yu is paired with Marie. They take turns entering the school.

Yosuke hopes that Rise will be afraid and cling to him, but Rise is quite comfortable with being at school at night since she had to go to a school at night for a program she was on before. As Rise describes how the school seemed haunted, Yosuke gets scared and assumes it was just a set, not a real school. Yosuke hears a noise and gets scared again, but it turns out that Rise was just shutting a window behind him. Elsewhere, Chie and Teddie are walking around together. Chie keeps hearing things and wants to leave. Teddie tells her that she could leave and go outside, but if she does, she will be alone while waiting for everyone else. Teddie scares her, and Chie freaks out and begins unzipping his bear suit, asking if she can get inside.

The Investigation Team's late night entry does not go unnoticed. At Shiroku Pub, Ryotaro Dojima and Tohru Adachi are drinking together. Dojima complains about Naoto even though Naoto helped them catch Kubo. Adachi suggests that now Dojima will have more time to spend with his daughter. Dojima seemingly contemplates this and then asks Adachi to come over to the house more to eat dinner with him, Nanako, and Yu. After Dojima passes out drunk, Adachi takes a call from an officer about how a suspicious person has been spotted at Yasogami High. Adachi gets the idea to call someone else and ask them to follow-up about this suspicious person at the school.

Back at the school, Yukiko asks Kanji to enter the music room because she wants to "confirm" something. Kanji misunderstands, thinking she will ask him about his feelings, and agrees to enter the music room with her. After opening the door to the music room, Yukiko is disappointed that the portrait of Mozart in the music room doesn't have shining eyes like the Seven Mysteries of Yasogami High said he would. She presses a key on the piano, trying to see if the other mystery about the self-playing piano is true or not. Kanji makes a pun while telling Yukiko not to be too noisy, and she has a fit of hysterical laughter while pressing random keys. The two hear footsteps outside the music room, but when they open the door, no one is there. Kanji thinks they were just imagining it, but Yukiko demands they chase after this mystery person and take off on her own.

Yu and Marie are walking around together, but Marie has no idea why this is interesting at all. Yu decides to teach her how to have fun with it by scaring the others. After seeing Yosuke and Rise's reactions, Marie thinks this is fun, too, and they find Chie and Teddie next. Chie gets scared and begins screaming while squeezing Teddie. Marie tries scaring Kanji next, but he is completely unphased. Kanji tells Yu and Marie about Yukiko going missing, and Yu goes with Kanji to look for Yukiko. Before meeting up with the rest of the group, Marie begins composing a new poem about a grim reaper stealing her heart. She hears someone near her and thinks Yu is eavesdropping on her. But when she looks around, she instead finds Naoto.

After Adachi got the phone call earlier, he called Naoto and claimed that the suspicious person at the school might be related to the murder incident, therefore tricking Naoto into going instead. Back at Shiroku Pub, Adachi is on the phone with another officer and says he will head over to the school soon, but after hanging up, he asks Shiroku for another beer instead. Shiroku calls him a bad man for lying, but she understands. Meanwhile, Naoto had gone to Yasogami High and waited for Adachi to arrive. But Adachi never came, and Naoto began to think the school really is haunted after hearing things like the piano, Yukiko's laughter, Rise and Yosuke and Chie's screaming, and Marie reciting poetry about a grim reaper. The group tries to apologize to Naoto in the aftermath, but a flustered Naoto calls all of them a bunch of idiots.
