Persona 4 Revival is an upcoming remake of the 2012 PlayStation Vita role-playing game, Persona 4 Golden, the enhanced version of Persona 4. It was developed by Atlus. The title Revival was chosen as it felt nostalgic, matching Persona 4's atmosphere, and also to make it feel like a TV show was getting a feature film.[1] The game was officially announced with a teaser shown at Xbox Games Showcase 2025. A pre-order trailer with voice acting, social elements, and updated combat was shown at Xbox Games Showcase 2026. The Japanese and English websites updated later that same day with information about new features. A livestream to introduce the game, titled "Persona 4 Revival TV", premiered in Japanese and English on June 19th, and a special demo event was held for Japanese fans in July.[2]

In Japan, a figure of the protagonist and Izanagi is available to purchase exclusively through Atlus's D-Shop as an add-on to the PlayStation 5 game or the Limited Box. In the rest of the Asian regions where the Limited Box is being sold, it is available in the Izanagi Edition which includes both the Limited Box and the figure. Atlus showed a 15 second preview of the figure on their X account with a new BGM from Revival.[3]

- The developers were aware of fans hoping for a gay romance with Yosuke Hanamura and considered including it, but according to producer Kazuhisa Wada this was not done because it would then need to be done for all other male characters as well, increasing development time.[4] Atlus also learned that foreign fans had found unused voice lines with Yosuke's confession in the data for Persona 4, which they believe to have been used as test/debug lines during the game's development.[5]
- According to Kazuhisa Wada, the English voice actors were recast due to some leaving the industry and others being unavailable, and Atlus not wanting to have a mixed cast of new and old voice actors.[6]
- Unreal Engine was used for development as it was for Persona 3 Reload.[7]
- The crossdressing contest from the original version of Persona 4 has been reimagined as a costume contest for Revival.[8]
