New Game+ (also commonly referred to as New Game Plus, NG+, or New Cycle) is a post-game gameplay mode that allows players to start a new game and carry over some data, such as items, money, or Compendium entries, from a pre-existing completed save file.

Shin Megami Tensei
Game Boy Advance / Mobile
The following A-Mode DDS data carries over:
- Analysed demons
- Visionary items
Some Visionary items can only be obtained once certain endings have been completed.
Completing the Chaos ending unlocks the Demon Bank, which can be accessed from the Cathedral of Shadows.
Shin Megami Tensei II
Upon completing the game, the Diamond Realm is unlocked.
Game Boy Advance / Mobile
The following A-Mode DDS data carries over:

- Demon Compendium
Some Visionary items can only be obtained once certain endings have been completed.

Upon starting a new cycle, the player is able to choose Akira Miyamoto as a Partner.
PlayStation
A set of indicators for each ending is added to that save file.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne / Maniax
The following data carries over in all releases:
- Playtime
- Demon Compendium
- First-person Perspective Mode Unlocked
- Fusion Level Restrictions Removed
- Hard Mode Unlocked (Original release only)
Maniax
Upon starting a new cycle, the player is given the option to wear the Hooded Jacket (which gives Str +2 and Vit +1) or the Leather Jacket (which gives Mag +2 and Agi +1).
In the HD Remaster, a set of indicators for each of the game's potential endings is added to that save file. Completing a given route on a new game cycle will fill its respective ending indicator on the file select screen.
A total of 7 ending indicators can be unlocked. 5 for completing the endings present in the original release, and 2 for completing the new ending in the Maniax and Chronicle editions with Dante and Raidou Kuzunoha XIV respectively.
The following data also carries over:
- Burial Chamber Records
- Extra Press Turn Icon (Unlocked by completing the Burial Chamber)
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey / Redux

Redux
In Redux, the following data automatically carries over:
- Playtime
- Demon stock count
- Demon analysis level
- Amount of demons defeated
- Unlocked special demon fusions
- Fusion level restrictions removed
- Developed items at the Lab
- Demon Compendium
New accessories, Sub Apps, and EX Missions are also available.
The player can also select any or none of the following data to carry over:

Additionally, Redux gives the new option to play on "Impossible" difficulty. Starting a new game on Impossible does not allow you to carry on a majority of the benefits mentioned above.

- Skill Expansion and Demon Skill+ Apps
- DDS Card with the attached demon
New demon fusions become available to the player depending on which ending they achieve. Merkabah, Lucifer, and Chironnupu are unlocked no matter which ending is reached. Metatron and Satan are unlocked if one of the two neutral endings is achieved.
New Life
Nanashi's level, stats and skills are reset.
Reincarnation
The following data also carries over.

Shin Megami Tensei V

Persona 3 FES
Upon completion the save file gains a star, and a New Cycle can be started with the following data carried into it:
- Playtime
- Money
- Protagonist Level
- Protagonist Equipment
- Social Stats
- Persona Compendium
- Any special items that were received through Social Links, which allow for the creation of ultimate personas.
The Answer
The Answer does not have a New Cycle.
Persona 3 Reload
In New Game+, content carried over into the new game is as follows:

When starting a new game with the Merciless difficulty, only the following content is carried over:

Persona 4
Upon completion the save file icon turns pink and gains a lotus flower, and continuing this save will start the game's Second Cycle with the following data carried into it:
- Money
- Playtime
- Social Stats
- All 12 Persona slots
- Persona Compendium
- Any special items that were received through Social Links, which allow for the creation of ultimate personas.
- All Velvet Room Compendium discount items.
On top of the carried over data, there are some changes only available in a Second Cycle:
- The Player can summon any persona from the Compendium regardless of their current level.
- There are a few additional decisions during some Social Link events
- If the previous save file reached the True Ending, Izanagi-no-Okami will be available to fuse after July 10th.
- The Reaper can be found inside of normal chests in dungeons where the optional boss at the end has been defeated.
- Margaret can be challenged inside of Heaven during the True Ending route. To fight her, the player must avoid all bad endings, defeat all optional bosses, and max out the Empress Social Link before March 20th.

The player will also carry over any special items that were received through Confidant relationships, such as Christmas and Farewell Presents. Christmas Presents allow the player to quickly level up that present's associated Social Link as long as they have a Persona with the same Arcana in their stock. Farewell Presents allow that present's associated Social Link to learn some of their skills immediately upon restarting that Social Link in New Game+.
Persona 5 Royal
The following data carries over:

The player will also carry over any special items that were received through Confidant relationships, such as Christmas and Farewell Presents. These items have the same effects that they have in the original Persona 5. In addition, Thieves Den progress will carry over. This data is available in all save files the player has and can be accessed at any time by any save; the carryover feature is not exclusive to New Game+.
A battle against Lavenza is unlocked and is available in the third semester. The player must first secure a route to the treasure in Maruki's Palace, and then the battle will be available in Mementos by speaking to Lavenza outside of The Velvet Room's entrance.

Persona 5 Tactica

The player also unlocks a Special Art section in the Report menu, which allows them to view concept art of the game's characters, Personas, enemies, and locations.
Repaint Your Heart
After completing this DLC the player unlocks the following features:
- Goro Akechi and Kasumi Yoshizawa will become available as party members in the main story once the Phantom Thieves are reassembled midway through the first Kingdom.
- New images of DLC-exclusive characters and enemies are added to the Images and Special Art sections of the Report Screen in the main story.
- Challenge stages have been added and are accessible from the DLC Mode's title screen.
