World of Shadows

World of Shadows is a location in Shin Megami Tensei V. It is an important area where the Nahobino can fuse demons or summon from the Demon Compendium. It is hosted by Sophia and can be accessed from any Leyline Fount.

The World of Shadows becomes accessible once the Nahobino reaches the Leyline Fount in Mita, where he can use Essences and acquire Miracles. After reaching the Fount in Shiba, Sophia allows him to perform Fusions.

Once the Compendium is at least 75% complete, Sophia will give the Seed of Life to the Nahobino, allowing him to initiate a route-dependent side quest.

In Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Sophia will give the Twinned Throne Periapt to the Nahobino once the Compendium is 100% complete, allowing Metatron and Sandalphon to use skill Omagatoki: Bounty.

During fusion, Sophia summons a giant statue of herself, and a circular keyboard rises up to surround the Nahobino, which he plays an ominous organ tune on sounding similar to Toccata and Fugue in D minor.
