An apsaras,[a] usually known in English as an apsara (from the Hindi form of the name), is a type of female water spirit in Hinduism and Buddhism.

Design

In Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II, Apsaras is depicted as a dark blue-skinned woman wearing green and white cloth over her head and legs, and orange and purple cloth over her waist and forearms.

In Shin Megami Tensei, Apsaras is depicted as a yellow-skinned woman with green hair and a white robe with red wrappings.

Her Shin Megami Tensei if... design resembles her Shin Megami Tensei design, though with significantly more revealing attire and a large white cloth being held over her head.

Since Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Apsaras is depicted as a light blue-skinned woman with dark blue hair and lime eyes and lips. She wears a white leotard with black accents and has a teal cloth floating around her arms and hung from her waist like a skirt. In the Chinese version of Persona 5: The Phantom X, her leotard is extended to cover her thighs.

In Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, Apsaras is a yellow-skinned woman with long blue hair, red eyes and purple lips wearing a white dress with red accents and the characters 天 and 昇 (meaning "heaven" and "ascend", respecively) clearly visible on it, along with two obscured characters. She is also wearing white gloves and footwear along with a red helmet and accessories over her shins and wrists. She also controls a continuous stream of water behind herself.
