Goblins[a] are small fey creatures that appear in the folklore of France and Great Britain; they are especially associated with the region of Normandy. They are typically depicted as small humanoids with monstrous features, and use their fey powers to cause mischief or injury to humans.

Origin: England Fairies that love malicious pranks. Though they are ugly and dreadful, some are highly skilled and will teach others. Originally, they lived together with humans. But shifts in the legends about them caused them to look as they do now.
A representative of the faeries, but compared to others of its kind such as elves, it is much more bestial and mischievous.
They try to drag those who can see them to their homes. They are also often used as familiars.
A famous type of fairy. It is ugly and has a twisted personality, and is said to kidnap those who can see it. It is also common to see them as familiars of magicians, doing various tasks.
Goblins, called Goblin Brothers by Pixie in Jack Bros., are the most second enemy encountered in the game, appearing on the second floor of Forest of Fairies and being seen throughout from then-on. They run around the stage laying down Bomberman-esque bombs, which explode in a +-shaped, 1-block radius. They have very little HP, taking two snowballs from Jack Frost to die.
Pixie says the following on the floor in which it is first encountered:
Watch out for the Goblin Brothers on this floor! They like to drop bombs so be careful!
