Profile
Origin
Loki is the trickster god of Norse culture, known throughout many Norse tales and stories for his trickery and bringing with him troubles he caused, most notably for causing the death of Baldr and bring about Ragnarök. He is the son of Fárbauti (a jötunn) and Laufey, and through a blood pact made between him and Odin, Loki is also the blood brother of Odin. He is also famously known for having affair with many women, one account is with the giantess Angrboða, who then gave birth to what is known as the three children of Loki: Hel (or Hela), the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent Jörmungandr. For their role in Ragnarok, each of these children were sealed away.
When Baldr's mother Frigg forced all of existence to swear not harm her son, Loki learnt that mistletoe had somehow escape this pledge and fashioned a weapon, either dart, arrow or spear, and gave it to Baldr's blind brother Höðr. As the other Æsir struck at Baldr with a variety of objects and weapons, amused by his invulnerability, only for Höðr to send the mistletoe weapon at Baldr who was killed instantly. None of the gods knew Loki was responsible for the act, and Höðr was killed for the crime. In order to resurrect Baldr Odin's son Hermod travels to Niflheim to implore Hel to return Baldr to life, who agrees on the term that all of existence cry for him. While the gods are successful in achieving this, the female Jötunn Thökk, who according to the Prose Edda was Loki in disguise, refused to cry and thus Baldr remained dead.
Loki went unpunished for his crime until the events described in the poem Lokasenna. At a feast Loki's poor behaviour and murder of a servant has him thrown out, only to attempt to return and for him to invoke Odin's oath of brotherhood when Bragi forbids him to allow him back in. When he is allowed to sit and is treated once more as a guest he then proceeds in a flyting, in which he insults the assembled Æsir, first insulting Bragi by calling him a coward after he offers various valuable items to Loki as a show of peace between them then Bragi's wife Idun for marrying her brothers killer when she speaks to defend her husband. Despite Odin's warnings Loki continues, insulting Freyja by claiming that all present at the feast have been her lovers, Tyr for betraying the trust Fenrir placed in him, and proclaiming that both Skadi and more scandalously Sif, wife of Thor, have been his lovers, among others. During this flyting Loki admits to him being responsible for Baldr's death, and once the furious Thor arrives at the feast Loki flees, transforming into a salmon to evade capture. Loki is caught regardless and as punishment his son Váli was transformed into a wolf, while his other son Narfi was torn apart by his brother with his entrails used to bind Loki to a rock with a serpent dripping venom on his face, where he would be left until Ragnarok. Loki's wife Sigyn would remain by his side holding a bowl to catch the serpents venom, however whenever some spilled over or she had to empty the overflowing bowl Loki would writhe in such powerful agony it would cause earthquakes.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne
Loki is a rude and dismissive patron at Nyx's Lounge in Ginza. If the Demi-fiend tries to enter his room, which is connected to the lounge, he will get angry and tell him off for it.
When the Demi-fiend has to find a Bill for the Collector Manikin, he goes to Loki, who hints that he may have a Bill in his room but asks for 20,000,000 in return, which the Demi-fiend cannot pay.[a] To obtain the Bill, the Demi-fiend enters Ginza from an alternate entrance that leads to Loki's room and finds it filled with treasure, including the Bill. When he exits the room, he is confronted by the Troll who was supposed to guard it. Loki later comments that his room was robbed.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax
Loki has additional dialogue in the Maniax releases of Nocturne. If the Demi-fiend has progressed to the end of the Fourth Kalpa, he can visit Loki for a hint about where the Star Key is. Loki will say he sold it to a Manikin in exchange for liquor due to his room being raided.
