Persona 4 Golden is an enhanced edition of the 2008 role-playing game Persona 4, the fifth entry in the Persona series. It was developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation Vita and released on June 14, 2012 in Japan, and subsequently on November 20 in North America that same year. In South Korea, the game released on August 24, 2012. In Australia and Europe, the game released on February 21 and 22 in 2013, respectively.
On June 13, 2020, Persona 4 Golden was re-released worldwide for Steam. Three years later, on January 19, 2023, the game saw another worldwide release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

- Added in two new Social Links: Aeon and Jester.
- New dungeon: Hollow Forest.
- Added in Okina and Shichiri Beach as new locations. Okina was previously shown in Persona 4, but not as an accessible location.
- Added in Scooters. Inactive party members can perform follow-up attacks on their scooters. Outside of battle, the protagonist can take scooter rides with party members to make them relearn old skills or learn brand new skills.
- The Calendar was expanded with January and part of February becoming playable.
- Added in Gardening at the Dojima Residence. Additionally, a new NPC now appears at Junes and on the street next to the Dojima Residence to sell produce and garden seeds.
- Added in evening Social Link hangouts that give points and items, but can't advance the Social Link to the next rank.
- Party members can gain 3rd Personas during the new winter semester.
- Fishing mechanics were changed, new bait items were added, and new fish were added. Additionally, gag weapons can be fished up at Shichiri Beach.
- Shuffle Time mechanics were changed.
- An apprentice artisan NPC at Yasogami High School will now trade weapons.
- At night time, Shiroku Store becomes Shiroku Pub where the protagonist can work part-time and trade jewels for equipment.
- A lady at Tatsuhime Shrine now appears at night time and will trade the protagonist's fish for jewels.
- Added in Skill Cards.
- The game has a new epilogue which is unlocked by completing the Hollow Forest and getting the true ending.

2023 Remastered
- References to the real world products Ototo and Potelong were changed in the remastered version released on Steam in 2023. These products were localized as animal crackers and Tater Longs. These localizations remained in the English remaster.
