Shichiri Beach is a location in the Persona series.

Gameplay

Unlock

Shichiri Beach is unlocked by taking 3 longer scooter rides on the scooter parked outside of the Dojima Residence.

Sea Fishing

Main article: Fishing § Persona 4 Golden

In order to fish at Shichiri Beach, the protagonist must first attempt to fish with his regular fishing rod only to get told it is not good enough. Catch the Guardian, show it to the old man at the Samegawa Flood Plain, then talk to him about sea fishing. Doing so will grant the Deep-Sea Rod which can be used to fish up new fish and joke weapons at Shichiri Beach.

Swimming

Swimming can be done in any type of weather and consumes time. The protagonist can swim in the ocean to gain +3 Courage. During bad weather, he can gain either another +3 Courage or +3 Understanding.

Sea Gazing

The protagonist can gaze out at the sea, causing a Persona he has on-hand to learn its next skill without leveling up or gaining any EXP. If there are multiple Personas that have skills to be learned, then the one with the lowest level will be prioritized. If none of his Personas can learn skills, then time will pass without anything else happening.

Shichiri Beach's distance from Inaba is said to be one that high school students could get to on scooters.

After his scooter gets broken during Operation Up Close and Personal, Yosuke Hanamura announces on July 25th that his scooter has been repaired and asks if the rest of the Investigation Team want to go somewhere during their summer vacation. Hearing this, the girls decide to study and get scooter licenses too so they can go together. On August 23rd, Yosuke calls up the protagonist and asks about going to the beach that day. The group rides to Shichiri Beach and goes swimming together. Kanji Tatsumi his speedo while racing against Chie Satonaka and he gets out of the water unaware. Yosuke panics and finds some seaweed for him to "cover up" with. Kanji ends up recreating a pose similar to The Birth of Venus and the girls call him a pervert when they see this and run away.

In March of 2012, the Investigation Team reminisces on what they have done the past year. They realize that Naoto Shirogane did not get to go swimming at the beach with them. To make up for it, the group plans to stay overnight at an inn near the beach and set off fireworks since it is too cold to swim.
