Amon is a spirit in European demonology first attested as the 11th spirit in the Livre des esperitz, where he is said to be a great marquess with the likeness of a maiden. He can tell of the past and future, and he can grant the love of anyone. He has 40 legions under his command.[1]
Amon is elaborated upon as the 5th spirit in Johann Weyer's Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, which draws from earlier sources. Amon, also known as Aamon, is said to be a great and powerful marquess in the form of a wolf with a serpent's tail, and he spews forth fire. When in human form, he has a dog's teeth and a large head like that of a night raven. He is said to be the strongest prince of them all, he is knowledgeable of the past and future, and he is able to conciliate all friends and foes. He has 40 legions under his command.[2]
In the Ars Goetia section of The Lesser Key of Solomon, which is heavily based on the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, Amon is said to be the 7th spirit summoned by King Solomon of Israel. The Lesser Key adds that Amon can procure love.[3]
Amon's name is most likely derived from the Egyptian deity Amon. According to Collin de Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal, the spirit Amon is the same as the deity Amon or Amoun worshiped by ancient Egyptians as their supreme god.[4]

Amon in the Dictionnaire Infernal
Amon's Shin Megami Tensei if... design is based on the illustration of Amon by Louis Le Breton in Jacques Collin de Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal.
One of the 72 demons of the Goetia, and the Marquis of Hell.
Amon has multiple forms. At times, he has a tail of a snake and a head of a wolf. Other times he appears with a head of an owl, body and legs of a wolf, and a tail of a snake.
He is also known as Amun who was one of the gods of Egypt.
He is the seventh spirit of Goetia and the Grand Marquis of Hell. Amon is depicted in several different forms, sometimes appearing as a wolf with a serpent's tail, and other times appearing as having the head of an owl, the torso of a wolf, and the tail of a snake sometimes replacing his hind legs altogether. It is said that he bestows knowledge of the past and the future. He is also incredibly loyal, having led his army to assist Satan when Satan rebelled against God.

Amon is referred to as the Marquis of Hell and is the ruler of the Womb of Grief's Third Sphere. When the Protagonist gets to Amon's room, he sees that Alex got there first and is in the middle of dealing the final blow to him. Amon is incredulous that he is being overwhelmed by a human and screams as she kills him.
If the Protagonist completes the Womb of Grief but chooses not to help Alex change the future in Sector Horologium, Amon is one of the demons Alex summons to assist her fight. When Alex absorbs the power of the Fruit she obtained from Amon, George states that the Fruit's effect has also been transferred to Amon.

Amon is the denigrated form of the Egyptian god Amun Ra, having been demonised in history. As Amun Ra he once sat upon the Throne of Creation as the Nahobino that ruled over creation. As Amon the source of his divine power, the Winged Sun Crest, was stolen by Asura and Mithras who sought the power of Ra. When encountered in Taito he enlists the Nahobino to retrieve the Winged Sun Crest so he can reclaim his divine station and promises rewards for doing so. However when the crest is returned he betrays the Nahobino and attempts to kill him to remove a potential rival. When he is defeated, he questions how he could lose only for his son Khonsu to appear, claiming that Amon has fallen too far from his status as Ra to utilise its power.[5] As he dies, Amon reliquishes the winged sun to Khonsu.
