Chapter 3 shows Sera being escorted to Embryon Base 2 by Heat. Before they leave, Gale restates that it is crucial for Heat to avoid combat, as Sera is required for them to ascend to Nirvana. Heat firmly tells Gale to stop treating Sera like a thing, to which Gale asks if he wants something more from Sera, as he is far too obsessed over her. Sera stops Heat from advancing on Gale, and they leave. They find a squad of Brutes on the way, which attack Heat and take Sera, but Heat gets up and attacks them by surprise. Heat and Sera make it to Embryon Base 2, though Sera is concerned about Serph's team, leading to the moment where Heat forces himself onto Sera.
Chapter 4 has the Embryon find decorations for Sera's room in Embryon Base 2 at Coordinate 136, which she enjoys greatly.
Chapter 6 has Serph secretly spread rumors about women wearing glasses in Nirvana to increase the Embryon's morale. Heat initially dismisses the rumors, though he changes his mind once Serph has Sera wear glasses and act cute for Heat. Many derivative competing rumors are spread among the Embryon, causing a split in the Tribe. Cielo suggests that Sera should sing to quell the Embryon, but it achieves the opposite effect.
Chapter 8 has Argilla making a grave for Jinana as proof that she lived. She is joined by Gale, then Cielo, who suggests making more graves for the people who fought alongside them. As there are no flowers in the Junkyard, Cielo instead asks for Sera to sing to put their souls to rest.
Chapter 11 takes place around Embryon Base 2. Serph and Sera are looking for flowers under sniper cover from Heat, who is recovering from his injuries. Argilla enters Heat's room to check in on him, and they discuss why Sera jumped off of Mystery Castle: Heat thinks she did it for Serph, while Argilla thinks that she did it for everyone. Sera then asks them if they have seen any flowers, causing Heat to see a vague image of flowers in his mind. Sera says that the flowers are to cheer up Heat, but they probably don't grow in the Junkyard. Heat asks Sera if she likes flowers, to which she says that she loves them.
Chapter 12 takes place after Heat forces himself upon Sera. Both her and Heat deny that anything happened, and she runs in tears. She later returns to investigate a commotion caused by Heat and Cielo, inadvertently stopping Heat from hitting Cielo after the latter accidentally struck a nerve with his words. Cielo then thinks of painting an unused room to look like a clear sky and flies away to get supplies, later telling Gale that he wants to cheer everyone up. His work is interrupted by news from Serph, who says that the Wolves were attacked. Serph laments that Cielo won't get to finish his project, but that his effort won't be wasted, as the other Embryon were watching his discussion with Gale from a hole in the wall. Cielo and Heat get into another scuffle, causing Heat's leg to get stuck in a paint can, and Gale holds Cielo at knifepoint after learning that Cielo used his Cells to pay for the paint cans. Sera starts giggling due to the situation, fulfilling Cielo's goal.
Chapter 13 involves Cielo leveraging the time he spent with Sera to convince Heat to put him on the front lines, as the other Embryon treat him like a kid. He tells Heat that Sera wants to do something fun, to which Heat suggests a bag of healing items with side-effects, though they later find Serph making snow for Sera to play in. Heat becomes upset enough to eat all of his healing items, which makes him ill, and Argilla appoints Cielo to fill Heat's position while he recovers.
Chapter 14 begins with the Embryon traveling to the Deserted Ship. Sera spots the ship and wants to go on it, but Serph denies her. Heat gets angry at Serph for not letting her ride the ship, but Sera apologizes for asking before a fight. Sera later gets escorted to Embryon Base 2 wearing Argilla's clothes, which Cielo finds cute. After word of the incident between her and Heat reaches the Embryon, Argilla scolds him for his appetite, believing that he wanted to eat Sera. This scares Sera into running away, but she is called back once the Embryon discuss the situation and they ask her to choose between eating Serph or Heat. She bites both of them on the arms then runs away again.
