The Brutes are a Tribe in the Digital Devil Saga series.
Profile
The Brutes are considered to be the most powerful of the six Tribes of the Junkyard, only kept in check by the Wolves. They operate from Ajna under the leadership of Varin Omega.
The Brutes' clothing resemble military camouflage, with their Tribe color of indigo painted over the standard Junkyard clothing. in addition to helmets, hoods and equipment over the eyes.

The Brutes control Ajna, having taken control of a building that mysteriously appeared there one day and now use as a base. They remain deadlocked with the Wolves for most of the Junkyard war, though Bat joins them after the Solids fall to the Embryon. To kill Bat, the Embryon bait him and the Brutes to the Deserted Ship with rumors of Sera's presence, then blow it up with Bat and some Brutes soldiers inside.
After Varin Omega gains the Hunger Wave ability, he is able to single-handedly expel the Wolves from Vishuddha. The Wolves are then forced to ally themselves with the Embryon against the Brutes, infiltrating Ajna through the recently-discovered Samsara Tunnels, though Lupa falls victim to hunger as well, and the Embryon are forced to kill him.
The Embryon successfully infiltrate the Brutes Base, finding and killing Varin Omega, resulting in the end of the Tribe and the victory of the Embryon in the Junkyard war.
