Karma Society Tower

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Karma Society Tower is a location in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2.

Gameplay

The Karma Society Tower is the fourth dungeon. The Tribhvana are fought twice, then Agni, who acts as the area boss.

Some encounters in this dungeon begin as encounters with Karma Soldiers, who may transform into demons during the fight. The demons they are able to transform into and their equipment depend on the Soldier's gender: male Soldiers wield guns and transform into male demons, while female Soldiers wield Assault Rods and transform into female demons. The demons a Soldier can transform into are indicated in the notes of the Encounters table below with their gender.

On 55F, Karma Soldiers loyal to Jenna Angel are the only encounters. They appear to guide the party to Angel and do not fight.

Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2

The Karma Society Tower is the administrative building of the Karma Society. Sera is initially held there after the events of the Junkyard, pending a lobotomy as per their guidelines, but Margot Cuvier appeals to Jenna Angel's humanity and declares that the surgery is not necessary, before being escorted to investigate a data breach. Angel becomes suspicious of Cuvier and begins plotting her rebellion.

Later, after distracting the Karma Society with the liberation of the Internment Facility, the Embryon infiltrate the Tower to find Sera and follow up on Kumbhanda's remark that someone was expecting them there. Climbing the tower, they encounter and defeat the Tribhvana twice, then find the medical room that Sera was being held in. There, they find Heat, who attacks them under Cuvier's orders and promise that Sera will be safe. Cuvier explains the details of the Nirvana Project to the Embryon, then orders Heat to kill them once they refuse her ideals. The Embryon defeat Heat, then continue climbing the tower.

At the top, the Embryon find Jenna Angel, the Chief Technical Director of the Karma Society, and soldiers loyal to her. She gives them a keycard for a gyroplane, also proclaiming her ideal of transforming all of mankind into demons to restore the world to its natural state, where all are judged by their Karma. The Embryon warily accept her help and take the gyroplane to the EGG Installation, but are shot down and crash there instead. Angel herself is cornered by Cuvier's soldiers, but she dispatches them as Harihara.
