Internment Facility is a location in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2.
Gameplay
Prior to entering the dungeon, Cielo and Roland join the party. The boss of this area is Kumbhanda, who hunts the party in the first three underground floors. Serph must avoid him, as getting caught leads to an unwinnable battle where he casts Black Bind on the party and sends them to a cell on B1. Kumbhanda follows the shortest path to Serph's position and begins running once he is close enough to Serph, though he is still slower than Serph. Kumbhanda does not stop moving and is still able to initiate a battle while a dialogue box is on screen.
In order to progress, the party must find the correct cell given a hint and, in the first two occasions, a passphrase. After visiting the second cell, Kumbhanda begins summoning traps that will hold Serph in place momentarily. Later, the party must turn a previously-collected Blob carcass into canned food to weaken Kumbhanda and defeat him.

The Embryon and Lokapala attack the Internment Facility in order to free its captives and start a commotion to distract the security of the Karma Society Tower. In reality, the Internment Facility contains a machine for processing meat for demon consumption, occasionally including some of its inmates. There, the Embryon fight the Jailer, Kumbhanda, by first weakening him with a stomachache caused by eating rotting meat, allowing the Lokapala to free the inmates and execute their plan.
One of Fred's friends is found to be among the deceased inmates. He initially tries to ignore his grief, but Gale, noticing the olive leaf in the book Fred was carrying, realizes that he is Lupa's son. Gale passes off his words (that Lupa wanted his son to become an honest man) as Lupa's dying message (for his son to become a man of honor) and tells him to be proud of his feelings.
