Mastema, also refered to as Mansemat, is the angel of hostility and persecution in Judaism. He rules over one tenth of the nephilim after he plead with God to let them remain on earth so he may test the faith of humanity, with the rest being damned. He fulfills the role of the Adversary however is considered a separate entity from Satan.
