Hello, I'm one of the staff members here. Please review the naming, sourcing, and licensing guideline pages before uploading files. SpiderSpyder🧼 (talk) 03:20, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
Media Links
Just a reminder that when making links to media, use Template:Link when possible; IE [[Shin Megami Tensei V]]
should be {{Link|Game|SMT5}}
in the source. Check this page for a list of all of those abbreviations. Rman41 (talk) 23:35, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
American vs British English
Hello! The reason centre and colour were changed is because, per the Article Writing Guidelines, articles on this wiki are to be written in American English, and "centre" and "colour" are British English spellings. Wimean (talk) 11:30, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
- Why was it decided that it had to be American English? It still seems ridiculous to enforce the version of a language only used in one country. User:Herekit (talk) 10:45, 09 Mar 2025 (AEST)
- There was a short discussion in the discord server just now and two main reasons discussed for the American English choice over British English are that the primary official localization of the games by Atlus (even with its inconsistentcies with words like Judgement and Travelled) is done in American English, and the majority of wiki staff are American.
- Here's a link to the message at the start of the convo in the discord server if you wanna check it out.Ruinedstego (talk) 19:11, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
My edit…
In my defense it did seem like Sahori was letting Lahmu control her even before she merged with him. You think he inherited Sahori’s mental illness? I imagine she has one. --Masterscatman (talk) 00:21, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- Please do not use talk pages for conjectural/regular fan discussions. Most users are here to discuss wiki topics solely, and do not want to be bothered with other things on their talk page. Thank you.
Rman41 (talk) 01:45, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- Your edits have consistently included unfounded and unverified information, which is why they are being removed. I have been careful to discuss these edits with others to make sure that I am not being unfair. You can't go including your own interpretations on the wiki as fact. User:Herekit (talk) 17:11, 20 Mar 2025 (AEST)
I’m trying not to. It’s just that everyone portrays a character a bit differently. I know someone who thought Lahmu was made of Sahori’s dark emotions but I found evidence that he wasn’t. --Masterscatman (talk) 22:16, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- This is a wiki, the information we present has to be backed up. You have put in things like "Lahmu is the most hated character in the game" or "Lahmu represents sexual assault" which have nothing to backup these claims and is actively poisoning the credibility of this wiki. If you want to keep contributing here, I recommend you find official sources and cite them rather than throwing around whatever idea you think is true. User:Herekit (talk) 14:10, 21 Mar 2025 (AEST)
I don’t remember saying the latter. As for the former I did find evidence as to how hated he is. But I did know that it was subjective.
Just keep in mind that we all make mistakes. I assumed that since Yuzuru was using it then the Nahobino was too. But if he’s not then he’s not.

- Stop spamming my talk page with every thought that comes into your head. As Rman41 said, I don't want to be bothered with nonsense because you're not following the standards of the wiki. When it comes to mistakes, you've made more than you have genuine edits. I've tried to encourage you to make better edits but still you keep adding your ideas onto the wiki without researching it as well as not structuring your paragraphs in the appropriate manner. Obviously you have a fixation with Lahmu and Sahori considering nearly all your edits, be it about Amanazako or Shohei Yakumo, make them a crucial point of whatever you add. That's fine, so long as you don't poison the well of information, which is the problem in this case. When I feel I no longer need this I'm going to delete this discussion because I'm sick of it clogging up my talk page. User:Herekit (talk) 09:25, 22 Mar 2025 (AEST)
- Herekit, be civil. There is a person behind the screen on the other end and frustration is not a free pass to mistreat another person. If you do not intend to say something nice, please come speak to a mod and have us take care of it so someone will handle it with tact, rather than like this. Thank you.
- Masterscatman, you have been spoken to repeatedly about subjectivity in your edits by this point. I have heard you say repeatedly that you have seen evidence, but you have not been providing it. Furthermore, we are not interested in something that you believe to be true. We are interested in that which is provably true - backed up by a source as I repeatedly have instructed you to provide. This wiki, and in fact all good wikis, are not a place for information that is "subtextual" or analytical. It is a place for that which can be proven to be true with evidence. People have also spoken to you about your misuse of talk pages and how it is bothering them. Unless you have an actual question, talk pages are not to be used. They are not places to justify, speculate, or "defend yourself" - they are meant to allow for discussion that improves the wiki. Using it to post an apology for a reverted edit is inappropriate. It is correct that everyone makes mistakes - I have made plenty of mistakes on this very wiki - but what matters is learning from them to do better. So far, you have not shown you are learning. Considering that this is no less than the fourth time a staff member has had to reach out and address your behavior, please consider this your final warning and that more serious action will be taken if you do not begin sourcing your edits properly and using talk pages appropriately. --
