Daedalus Tower consists of eight floors that descend underground. The top floor, where the game begins, is the location of Micon Town and provides a couple services: a village elder who can save the game's progress, a healer, a Weapon Shop, an Armor Shop, and a Heretic Mansion. Daedalus Tower's elevator is initially inoperable and becomes usable only after the Minotaur, the dungeon's boss, is defeated.

Micon Town has a Weapon and Armor Store. In Kyūyaku Megami Tensei, a Junk Store can be found on 3F.
Daedalus Tower and Micon Town appear as locations in "Devil Buster", a video game that the Hero plays at the beginning of Megami Tensei II. The Hero takes control of a male protagonist and female partner and is able to level them up, recruit Demons, and purchase equipment within the game world. If Devil Buster's characters die, the game ends but retains any levels, Demons, and equipment acquired, allowing the Hero to proceed where he last left off from the beginning of Daedalus Tower.

According to Greek traditions, Daedalus was a genius craftsman and inventor. He created a hollow wooden cow which Pasiphaë, the wife of Minos, used to mate with a bull and conceive the Minotaur, and he also created the Labyrinth which the Minotaur was imprisoned in.
