Design

Stolas' design in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner is very similar to the one featured in Jacques Auguste Simon Collin de Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal.

Stolas resembles an owl, with a small beak, long wings, and blue and black feathers throughout its body. He has long legs, red eyes and a golden crown, which references his status as a prince of hell.

出身地：イスラエル ソロモン王の７２柱の魔神の１柱である、地獄の王族。人間の姿をとることもある。 ストラスの姿については、ツグミ、オオガラス、あるいはフクロウとするなど、多少定かでないが、鳥の姿だということは共通している。その爪は銀色で目のまわりは赤いとされる。 彼が得意とするのは、占星術や宝石の魔術的効用や薬草などの植物についてであり、召喚して質問すれば、正直に教えてくれるといわれる。 Translation: Place of origin: Israel A prince of hell who is one of the 72 demons of King Solomon. He sometimes takes on the form of a man. Stolas's appearance is somewhat uncertain; he may be a thrush, a raven, an owl, or something else, but it is agreed that he has the form of a bird. It is said his claws are silver and the areas around his eyes are red. His strong points are astrology, the magical uses of gemstones, and plants such as medicinal herbs, and it is said if one summons him and asks a question, he will speak truthfully.
