Seraph is a playable character and a protagonist in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2.
Profile
Seraph is the fusion between Serph and Sera's Solar Data, inherting Serph's position as protagonist and leader of the Embryon and Sera's personality, though Schroedinger notes that their minds will also eventually fuse into one. As such, they are an androgynous human who shares some of their physical attributes; their Atma, Ardha, is also androgynous. From Serph, they have his white pupils and the right half of their hair is white. From Sera, they have her voice and the left half of their hair is black. They wear a black bodysuit similar to the ones used by the Embryon and a harness over the pelvis, leaving their limbs uncovered. On their forehead is their Atma brand, Clarion, depicted as two sharp-toothed heads. Uniquely, they float instead of walking to move.
According to Kazuma Kaneko, Seraph's simple design is meant to emphasize the concept that the more transcendent a being is, the more it removes anything unnecessary.[1]
Gameplay

Seraph transforms into Ardha at the start of every battle, unless the party is ambushed, in which case they may start the battle as a human, and they may also spend a turn switching between forms during battle. Their human form nullifies Expel and is weak to Gun. Their "firearm" is the Prana Beam, which deals Gun damage to one target, but is unable to cast the Ice-attribute elemental shot Combo Skills Serph and Sera can; it is instead only able to cast the Almighty-attribute Divine Shot. Uniquely, their human form is only 10% more vulnerable to neutral attributes instead of 20%. As Ardha, they are instead neutral to all attributes.
Upon Seraph's creation, their stats are equal to the highest ones between Serph and Sera, their Mantra Grid will be a combination of both, and their current skills and equipment will be the same as Serph's. The player can also assign 3 points between any of their stats on every level up, like with Serph. On a New Game+, Serph will inherit Seraph's Mantra Grid.
Depending on dialogue choices[a], Seraph will receive the skill Reincarnate.

Game Appearances
After landing at the HAARP Facility, Serph and Sera send their data to the Sun in order to communicate with Brahman directly, killing their physical bodies. While their data is traveling to the Sun, they fuse into Seraph and meet with the Solar Data of the fallen Embryon, Jinana, Lupa, Jenna Angel and Margot Cuvier there. Schroedinger points out that their minds will eventually merge as well.
Seraph and the Embryon travel into the depths of the Sun and find Brahman, who demands a fight in order to listen to the Embryon's request to preserve Earth and humanity. Once Brahman is defeated, Seraph attains Enlightenment. Shrödinger reveals himself as another version of Seraph, and they move on to witness different realities.
