Profile

Origin

In ancient Greek folklore, an empusa is a kind of being which seduces men and then feasts upon their flesh. It is synonymous with the lamia and the mormolycia.

Empusa's Shin Megami Tensei II design is based on an illustration of a lamia in Edward Topsell's The History of Four-footed Beasts.

Shin Megami Tensei II (A-Mode DDS)	出身地：ギリシア 冥界の女王ヘカーテの従者の夢魔。名は「力づくで押し入る者達」の意味を持つ。皮の翼を持ち、片方の足が真鍮か青銅で出来ており、もう片方には大きな鉤爪がついている。主人ヘカーテにつき従い、夜の街道に出歩き、旅人を苦しめることもする。夜の交差点、三又路に好んで出没するといわれる Translation:
