Danu is the hypothetical mother of The Dagda in the Irish Mythological Cycle. Danu is not attested in any surviving texts, but is theorized to exist from the naming of the Tuatha Dé Danann.
While in the active party, if an ally's Defense is raised by 2 ranks, attacks that don't strike their weakness will be weakened.

The mother goddess of Celtic mythology. She is the mother of the Tuatha Dé Danann, a race of gods, and also the world itself, having given birth to all life.
Danu's large body is said to be lying down on earth to this day. The Munster region in Ireland, which is said to be rather spiritual, is known to be especially blessed by her.

Danu is the boss of the subquest "The Noble Queen", exclusive to the Humanity and True Humanity endings. After obtaining the Seed of Life from Sophia, the quest can be accepted from Maria in the Empyrean who will take the form of Danu and fight the Nahobino. Following completion of the quest, Danu is unlocked for fusion.
Danu retains her role from the original game while also appearing as an NPC in the DLC subquest "Holy Will and Profane Dissent". She follows her son Dagda to Kanasugibashi after he uses the magic of the Tuatha Dé Danann to escape to another world. Danu and Dagda's readings are intercepted by Bethel, who send the Nahobino to investigate. Upon the Nahobino's arrival, she requests that he stop Dagda in her stead. Following the boss fight with Dagda, Danu appears and orders the Nahobino to finish him off. Regardless of the Nahobino's choice, Danu will return to her own world afterwards.
Danu can be accessed in her subquest, "The Noble Queen", on Canon of Vengeance if the Nahobino is humanity-aligned before choosing a route.
