School Friends |
The protagonist can start Social Links with friends at school, such as the other members of the Investigation Team. Joining a sports club opens up Daisuke Nagase or Kou Ichijo. After ranking up in whichever sports club, the protagonist meets Ai Ebihara. Lastly, picking band for a culture club introduces the protagonist to Ayane Matsunaga, while joining drama introduces Yumi Ozawa.
In addition to Social Link activities, attending soccer or basketball practice increases Diligence +3, and going to drama club or band increases Expression +3.
Men's Bathroom
The protagonist has a 15% chance of getting 1 of 3 items when using the bathroom. This can only happen once per day.
The possible items are:
Library
The protagonist can study in the library to increase his Knowledge stat. The possible points vary between Persona 4 and Golden.
Shoe Locker
After talking to an NPC while doing Persona 4 Quest #6 or Golden Quest #7, the protagonist will be able to check their shoe locker. If the protagonist scores well on an exam, then he might start receiving a love letter with an item every day until the results of the next exam are posted. There's a 20% chance if the protagonist scores in the top 10, and a 30% chance if he's top of the class.
The possible items are:
If the protagonist gets a love letter at least once, he can meet his secret admirer in classroom 2-2 on March 20th.
Artisan Apprentice
Exclusive to Golden, there is an artisan on the 2nd floor of the practice building who will take the protagonist's weapons and exchange them for new weapons that mostly have the same stats, but with different appearances and sound effects.
For weapon stats, see Equipment in Persona 4 Golden. For the weapon models, see the Gallery.

School Exams
The protagonist takes five exams during the school year. His ranking is determined by his Knowledge stat and how many questions he answers correctly on the exams. Depending on how his ranking when exam scores are posted, he can get rewards from Dojima, Nanako, and Ms. Sofue by speaking to their NPCs. In Golden, Ms. Kashiwagi will also have rewards for 2nd semester results, and there are no rewards for the 5th exam in February.
In addition to these rewards, the protagonist automatically gets Social Link points from his school friends when he checks his grade, and a bonus multiplier for his Social Link points with these school friends. Points increase by x1.50 if he ranks #1, or by x1.20 if he scores ranks #2 through #10. These multipliers last until the next exam results get posted.
Alternatively, if the protagonist's exam grades are very poor on the 1st semester finals, then he, Rise, and Kanji will be forced to attend summer school together from August 15th to August 19th. This grants +15 Knowledge and +20 Social Link points to both Emperor (if unlocked) and Lovers.
