Ayane is a 1st year student at Yasogami High School who plays trombone in the school band. She is enthusiastic, but lacks confidence and is not as good as another trombone player in the band. In an effort to make herself useful in other ways, she does more menial tasks like onboarding the protagonist and cleaning the band room. Regardless, Ayane hopes to one day perform with the rest of the band. She looks up to the protagonist, whom she recognizes as more talented than her.

Starting on April 25th, the protagonist can join a culture club. If he decides to join the band, then Ayane is the Sun Social Link.

Trivia

• Character designer Shigenori Soejima thought Ayane looked quite cute when he designed her. Other staff members didn't like her and even thought looking at he made them feel sad. But Soejima supported the design and went on to jokingly declare her his favorite non-main character.
