In Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden, Ayane is one of the two Sun Social Links. The protagonist meets her by joining the band at Yasogami High School. The other culture club option is the drama club, which would instead make Yumi Ozawa the Sun Social Link. After maxing her Social Link, she gives the protagonist a Handmade Ticket which allows fusion of Asura.

Generally speaking, Ayane can be found by attending band on 2F of the practice building at Yasogami High School on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. In the evenings, she can be found in the south map of the Central Shopping District for her evening hangout.
