Social Link
|
This section is a stub. You can help Megami Tensei Wiki by expanding it.
|
Reason: The Social Link information was compiled from the Persona 4 The Golden: The Complete Guide. It is missing:
- PS2 P4 availability schedule, rank up points, dialogue options & points, dungeon chat info
- Special dialogue if rank 3 is done after November 7th
- P4G evening hangout dialogue
- P4G winter rank up friendship dialogue
|
In Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden, Chie is represented by the Chariot. Her Social Link begins automatically on April 18th. After, the protagonist can speak to her in the daytime to rank up her Social Link. Maxing Chie's Social Link transfigure her Persona to Suzuka Gongen, and she gives the protagonist her Wristbands that allows fusion of Futsunushi.

Generally speaking, Chie will be available for her Social Link on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday in the afternoon. She can be found on the roof of Yasogami High School on school days, and the south map of the Central Shopping District on days off school.
There are some rules and exceptions and other things to note regarding her availability:
- Chie will not always be available in the daytime if someone is still inside the TV.
- Sometimes, Chie will be available on holidays that fall on days she normally will not be available.
- During December, Chie's available days for her afternoon Social Link are December 10, 13, 15, 17, 19.[1]
- During the evening, Chie can found in the north area of the Central Shopping District. As the availability chart notes, she is only available for evening hangouts on specific dates, though generally you can find her there on Monday and Wednesday nights. Check the specific section for more about that.
- After unlocking Scooters, Chie will appear at Moel Gas Station during the daytime for scooter rides on the following dates: September 7, 11, 21, 28, October 23 (see note below), November 9, 16, and January 15, 18, 25, 29.[1] On these days, she will only be available for scooter rides, not her regular daytime Social Link. Furthermore, she will not be available if someone is inside the TV.
- On October 23rd, if her Social Link is lower than max rank, she will call you first, and you must reject her invite for her to appear on her scooter. If her Social Link is maxed out, then Rise Kujikawa will call instead.
For the full list of day-by-day Social Link availability, see the Calendar in Persona 4 Golden.

Evening Hangouts
In Golden, on certain dates, you can hang out with Chie in the Central Shopping District during the evening. Which hangout you get is prioritized as follows: Limited > 1st time > 2nd time > generic. This resets every month. Afterwards, you will receive a random item. See the items list below to see what possible items you can obtain. For more about evening hangouts and point multipliers, see the Social Link mechanics page.

When Chie is not an active party member, she can sometimes be found in a random room in the dungeon. Depending on what rank her Social Link is, she might have special dialogue with another character who is also not in the active party. Chie's possible dialogue partners are Yukiko, Teddie, Naoto, and the fox. Furthermore, she can give the protagonist an item once per day: Steak Skewer DX or Meat Gum. If you are in a romantic relationship with her, then you might receive Chie's Muffin.
