Undertaking Quests

Quests can optionally be accepted from NPCs in Inaba. There is no visible indicator of available quests in the PS2 version/PS3 digital port of Persona 4; the blue-sweatdrops bubbles were added in Golden. The list of quests can be tracked from the "Quests" section of the menu, which is a subheader of "System." Starting on May 6th, the protagonist can visit Tatsuhime Shrine and receive wishes written on tablets from the Fox. After fulfilling these wishes as quests, return to the shrine and summon the fox to report back. This will cause time to pass, but the Hermit Social Link rank will increase.

Note: Most items that need to be collected from dungeons are not available until you accept the related quest, and cannot be sold by accident. There are, however, a couple of exceptions to that - the Silver Lump (Quest 19), Fashionable Dishes (Quest 27), and Proof of Passion (Quest 35) are all normal enemy drops. Be careful not to sell them all out of your inventory before going to turn in your quests.

Additionally, the twins who give you a series of quests move out of town in late November, putting a deadline on all of their quests.
