Before the start of the game, Gotou comes into contact with the [[Terminal]] systems and through its connection to the [[Expanse]] he begins to summon demons en masse in order to combat the Americans occupying [[Tokyo]] and restore the old gods to their former glory. The Japanese Self-Defense Force general. He came into contact with demons through the Terminal system. It was thus that he learned of God's plan for the Millennium Kingdom, spurring his rebellion.
