Congrats!
Congrats on your launch, from all of us at the Independent Fallout Wiki. Let us know if we can help in any way. Kate Aces (talk) 16:36, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
Affiliation request
This might be kind of an outdated concept, but I am a sysop of a wiki called fireemblemwiki.org, and I would like to affiliate our site with this wiki. Essentially, we would link to you on our affiliates page and interwiki link to you for Shin Megami Tensei stuff, and you would interwiki stuff to us for Fire Emblem stuff. Perhaps you could discuss this amongst the staff. Billy Mitchell (talk) 00:45, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Not an outdated concept at all! As you can see, we have your interwiki set up, and we did plan to use it for TMS coverage. I will get back to you soon. What is your username on FE Wiki?
Rman41 (talk) 00:57, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- PikaSamus (I think it is a terrible username, so I picked a different one here). Billy Mitchell (talk) 00:58, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
PDNn Images
Could I inquire as to why many of the images relating to PDNn were removed? Temmytoa (talk) 07:08, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, was going to mention it to you but had a lot to clean up. We don't want entire full page scans of novels and manga on the wiki unless they are being actively used. This presents a copyright concern because this constitutes potentially most of what the content of those books actually are; essentially the same reason we don't allow audio files unless they will be used and are under 30 seconds. I kept the ones that were acceptable beyond that, such as the full-color artwork and those that were in-use on pages.
Rman41 (talk) 07:11, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- That all makes sense and I do understand, but I would have appreciated being given a bit more time to put some of them into use first Temmytoa (talk) 07:14, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- I understand. It was an urgent concern, but I will try to give more heads up about it in the future. Feel free to reupload them as you need them.
Rman41 (talk) 07:16, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Alright. I will try to be more conservative in the future as well Temmytoa (talk) 07:18, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Temmytoa Oh, sorry two more things. The proper abbreviation for Detective Naoto is PDN, even for the novel. It and the manga share the code but link to different pages depending on the media type chosen in Template:Link. See Guidelines:Media Abbreviations. As well, for the same reason of copyright, I ask that you don't link to sites hosting the entirety of said material. Thank you.

- Okay, I was uncertain of what to do in that scenario, but I will go forward with this information. That last bit is also a good point, how should they be tagged instead? Temmytoa (talk) 07:43, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Ideally you should claim yourself as the source by putting your user page. So User:Temmytoa in the source parameter.

discord account got hacked
Hey my discord account got hacked, I think I fell for a phishing email last night. I woke up a couple of minutes ago and can't log in so whoever has it changed the password. I made a new account but can't join back into the wiki server, it's giving me a "The user is banned from this guild" message. Not sure if that means my old account is already IP banned from the server or if my account's just too young or something, but if you or any other staff wanna message me there my new account is stego010. thx Ruinedstego (talk) 18:45, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I can help with this. Thank you for letting us know what happened. Your compromised account has now been banned from the Discord server. The reason why your new account was banned when joining is because our server automatically bans new Discord accounts as a security measure. However, we have now enabled your new account, so you should be able to join now. — RustyVanBurace (talk) 21:32, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
Apology
I just wanted to avoid edit warring with him. I did edit war on a wiki once and I felt bad for it...though I still thought the admin was a bad one. But if he doesn't want to have fan discussions, I'll respect that. --Masterscatman (talk) 02:16, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
Medal

For setting up many of our Modules such as Link, Skill, and data modules, you have been awarded a Jack Medal by Mistiryshak. |
You have been an excellent mentor and studying your code has helped me a lot with my own. Module conversion was a long and tough process but it has been well worth it and allowed for so many more possibilities when it comes to handling data, alongside reducing the strain on the wiki and improving load times. Whether you continue to be our host in the long term future or not, this contribution of yours will last for likely our wiki's entire lifetime. This medal is just one small way for me to show my appreciation as a technical user for one of the biggest technical innovations on our site. Thank you :) -- Mistiryshak (talk) 22:12, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

For Japanese language support on the wiki's Discord server, you have been awarded a Jack Medal by Cheesm. |
Kinda unrelated to the wiki and this is cheesy as hell, but I really appreciate all the pep talk we had about Japanese. There's a lot I still don't get about this language, but you cleared up a lot of my misconceptions. I just wished I understood the more complex pep talks haha. Would love to do 会話 with you again, it's just unfortunate that I haven't gotten the courage and time to do so. Overall, just wanna give a big thank you!!
