Profile
Origin
- Main section: Yamato Takeru § Origin
In the Hitachi Fudoki, he is referred to as Yamato Takeru no Sumera Mikoto.[1]
Design
Soejima wanted to incorporate the tale of Yamato Takeru crossdressing into the Persona's design. He thought about giving him the look of an aristocrat like in the stories, but the final design used was created by associating Naoto = pretty girl who crossdresses = Takarazuka Revue = The Rose of Versailles.[2] The sword Yamato Takeru has is identified as the Kusanagi no Tsurugi[3][4] which he is said to have received from Yamatohime.
Gameplay
In Persona 4, Naoto starts with Sukuna-Hikona. It transfigures into Yamato Takeru upon maxing Naoto's Social Link.
In Golden, Naoto starts with Sukuna-Hikona. It transfigures into Yamato Takeru upon maxing Naoto's Social Link and can further transfigure into Yamato Sumeragi during winter.
